Corrupt abyss
Is there anything I should not be crafting? When I open the crafting menu, it lets me know what I'm able to craft with the recipes and ingredients/materials I currently have. Should I be saving any ingredients/materials for later or for something else? OR should I craft anything I have the ingredients/materials for right then and there? What's the most beneficial and efficient way to go about crafting?
wangsparkinglot
Different type of crafting but trying to get the Legends of the East satchel with Pearson crafted early is a really good tip. Last play through I got it done whilst still at Clemens point

What's the most beneficial and efficient way to go about crafting? Craft tonics and big game meat with wild mint/oregano/thyme, they come very handy and will give you benefits: - big game meat with wild mint Health - big game meat with oregano Stamina - big game meat with thyme Dead Eye If you go on hunting, clearing gang hideouts is much easier if you stack up with tonics and food for free. Craft them when you are low on them, there is really no point hoarding the ingredients as they are easy to come by. You can buy tonics in the stores, doctor so by crafting them instead will save you money. Craft small and big game arrows as well, so you can hunt for skins and hides (there are small animals which can only be shot with small game arrow to be pristine quality) which are necessary for upgrading your satchel. Crafting satchels and the LotE satchel should be on the priority list, by doing that you won't have any capacity issues. As soon as the trapper is available, it is smart to craft saddles; they do not require but only 1 skin/hide each (except for the Rattlesnake Vaquero), and the trapper crafts them for free. Trapper saddles cannot be customized but they are better than the ones you buy in the stables. If you are into the Old West style, you can also collect the materials for the trapper outfits but they require a lot of skins and some of them is hard to come by (moose) and will cost you a pretty penny especially if you just started and the majority of them require legendary animals (a few of them require legendary animals which are in New Austin so cannot be obtained until the Epilogue). They also for show only, they won't give you any benefits so optional only. What is a must have in the trappers shop are the weapon equipment which are unlocked by the challenges but cost money (and the challenges are a pain...). You can skip the camp upgrades, only get Pearson the leather working tools and the map for Arthur so he can fast travel. Further there are a few which are necessary for Pearson to be able to craft the satchels. All the others can be skipped. Just ask if you have any specific question
Corrupt abyss
when you say "big game" meat, are you referring to large or massive game or both? Edited July 7 by Corrupt abyss
