Grand Theft Online on PS3 ? Can he came back ? [READ PLZ] ENG / FR

ENG : Hi guys,

I created this topic to talk about GTA ONLINE on PS3 / Xbox 360, i know, they are disable from December, 16, 2021, but, can some DEV can do a private server like TDU2 with the online for PS3 jailbreak and Xbox 360 RGH / JTAG ?

If some guys have sucess to do a Private Server on TDU2, why nobody try on GTA V PS3 / Xbox 360 ?
There is some potential, average 10M of players on GTA 5 ONLINE PS3 / Xbox 360 have loose their game !

So, why we don't try ! We can try with the DNS !
And we can talk about GTA 4 and their ONLINE still working !

Si certains gars ont réussi à faire un serveur privé sur TDU2, pourquoi personne n’essaie sur GTA V PS3 / Xbox 360 ?
Il y a un potentiel, en moyenne 10M de joueurs sur GTA 5 ONLINE PS3 / Xbox 360 ont perdu leur jeu !

Alors, pourquoi ne pas essayer ! On peut essayer avec le DNS !
Et nous pouvons parler de GTA 4 et de son ONLINE qui fonctionne toujours!

There was no players before they shut downed it, so there is no way is coming back again.

We didn't see anybody because everytime the sessions was with 3 players, if we take all the sessions and put them together, we can have 16-17 players !
Reduct the number of sessions to have players !

I guess it can be done, but no one thinks it's worth it. GTA Online on PS3 is dead and buried, and Rockstar should have shut it down way earlier.

The last content update was in 2015, character migration was stopped in 2017. From that moment on, starting a GTA Online career on PS3 was a dead end.

And then they still kept it running way longer than they should have, all the way until 2021 (6 years without updates, cheaters everywhere and Rockstar not doing anything about it)

 

Keep in mind, the PS3 was first released back in 2006, GTA V in 2013. PS3 was 7 years old, and the PS4 console was only months away.

Meanwhile, the PS4 got yet another update as the PS3 got shut down, 6 years later. I'm not sure how much room the PS4 has left, but I highly doubt it will be around for another 6 years.

Sure, if you can put up with the horrible lag if suddenly the whole world plays on one server.

You know, it still baffles me that this game first released on PS3/360, which released in 2006 and 2005, respectively.

You go ahead and ask a network engineer or whoever sets up servers to build and maintain a game that already exists and relies on cloud saves to store data. For old consoles, no less.

1st the game wasn’t shut down because of no players, it was closed due to it being a expense with no return. There was plenty of players up until the servers went off line.  2 why would you want to go through all of the trouble when there’s newer versions of gta5 going already, everything from racing to complete roll play. The ps3/360 version is dead.

I'm pretty sure there's going to be some legal issues with this, I mean you would need to have access to Rockstar's data which I hardly believe they'll just let you have.

You then become responsible for all that data, you'd be responsible for the set up costs, maintenance costs and all other associated costs for a game as big as GTA. 

But, let's say you do all that - you'd need to quit your day job to maintain the game and you'd have to do it voluntarily because you wouldn't be allowed to charge for it.

 

Personally, I think you need to accept the fact GTAO for PS3/360 has died and it isn't coming back....learn to let go...It's hard I know, I recently unplugged my PS3 completely in my bedroom (was using it as a blu ray player) before I did so, it shocked me what services had stopped running on the console. The console itself works absolutely fine, but its the big tech companies 'forcing' you to upgrade.

Either way, let it go....Like Elsa had to do.

Those are extremely old consoles and nothing is coming back for any of them, sorry.
