Just a little nitpick: Shouldn't the mod be called "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City '01" instead of "Grand Theft Auto Liberty City '01"? Not that there's something wrong with it, but the lack of the ":" right after the "o" of the "Auto" kinda bugs me.

 

Doesn't really matter, but fine, just to make it look better.

Maybe use him as minor cutscene's character? I mean use him as ped is good idea, but as cutscene's ester egg'll more respecteble for his personality.

We discussed that on the private channel and we decided to not have any gangster with sunglasses in the cutscene. Which is why the cutscene doesn't use the gangster with the sunglasses.

There aren't many cutscenes with peds, and we aren't adding him as a Leone for sure. He's very likely going to stay as a ped.

Sorry, we don't really have where to use them as cutscene characters... It's a neat idea but we'll mostly likely keep them as peds.

There's a III headed Luigi in the optionals.

We offer this variant as well. Default Luigi will be the beta/artwork inspired one. But we did think some people might not dig it so we made an alternative as well.

@Jinx. and @Sergiu mangs, I had this idea from TLAD's ending: How about making Claude's Portland safehouse interior look vandalized and trashed if you go back to it after completing "Last Requests"?

 

Saving and garage functionality would be temporarily suspended and a priced pickup (about $30,000 or so) would appear by the safehouse after the mission which would repair it and make it functional again upon being picked up.

 

That way, it would seem like the Leones trashed it over Claude "betraying" Salvatore. In fact, maybe you guys could make the Leones' hostility go in effect as soon as "Last Requests" is passed. Considering how Sal is paranoid at the start of the mission already and has made a deal with the Colombian Cartel to have Claude whacked, it would make quite sense.

LC01 will include ads and billboards in more locations than the final game, to allow us to fit more brands from the 3D universe and so on.

This is a custom billboard to replace the LCS Madd Dogg one since that's too old by 2001, featuring DJ Tom Novy in LC, sponsored by Love Media.

Kinda nitpick but don't you think Novy's model should be smoother? His head alone looks kinda "blocky"-ish.

We're only going to post thread-worthy images here, aside from collecting them into one post. We usually post more work in progress stuff there.

Looks fine to me, it's his GTA3 head with LCS styled eyes and a LCS styled body. DoctorMike made the billboard. 

 

He won't appear as a NPC in the game, but his song is on Head Radio and he appears on a billboard.

Looks great!! Some mods tend to have billboards that don't look like something that would appear in real life (either too many colors or too modern for the time period setting) but this one looks realistic to me

Yeah, it's even using the real logo from Novy's album... we've been toying around with some custom posters for fun here and there, such as the promo for Novy, Bus Driver the movie or Liberty City Survivor...
