Hello, I'm really enjoying this mod so far but I'm playing 1.1 and during the mission "What Can You Do?" given by Salvatore as soon as I get to the objective it tells me to drive to it crashes and says Invalid Memory Access. I'm really confused bc the game runs perfect and I have no clue what this means.

Abraham Denver

One of the best GTA mods ever. Honestly, hope this outstanding work will be remembered in modding (and whole gaming) community forever. I completed this mod on my vanilla PSP console and still under deep emotions.

The only disadvantages are:

  • The difficulty level is not balanced at all, I played on 'soldier', but still failed some missions 5-6 times. Never used cheats however.
  • Yep, it's being said... English text is not that much well written. BUT, I do not think it is that much bad also. Everything is understandable. Probably text is not worth fixing.

Positive sides are great:

  • AI voiceover... WOW! This is a completely new level of abilities, now we can have mods with voices which sound as original actors (95% of mods do not have voiceover at all).
  • Missions... WOW! R* level, not worse than Leeds work in original LCS and VCS. SC missions are as fun as original III/VC/SA/LCS/VCS ones.
  • Side missions... WOW! Races, quests, cool details. Enjoyed them so much.
  • Storytelling... WOW! This is only a mod, but feels like new GTA or Mafia game.
  • Play some missions as Tony, character swap plot twist... WOW!
  • Plot twists on latest acts... Story about Paulie... WOW!
  • Business side quest, it is designed way better and more interesting than VCS one. Btw, dedicating some business to Paulie was fun and a bit sad later. I like how business model is mixed between SA gang wars and VCS business empire. SC one has advantages of both and no disadvantages of any.
  • The whole plot finale, last missions. Nothing to say, it's just unbelievably emotional.
  • And everything on PSP. WOW. Also unbelievable.
  • Artworks, cover, professional product branding. Impressive. This is not 'GTA LCS: SC', or 'GTA LCS SC mod', this is just GTA: SC. Same as other GTA's.

Waiting a lot for PS2 version. Thank you for emotions and feelings you brought us, the_1826.

Hi, I was wondering, does anybody still own their original version 1.00 retail copy of Sindacco Chronicles for PSP? I am looking all over for it and I cannot find it. Can someone please find me a copy? I really would love to have it for archival purposes. There's different versions that I have found but not the original version 1.00.

I had fun. Work on your ai voices, they sound terrible here. You can get used to them, but every time there's a properly acted line from base LCS, it starts to sound sh*t again. There are AI models in which you can act out how you want the line to be played, and then you can overlay someone else's voice over it. It would give it some life.

The radio is awfully mixed, some songs are way louder than others. I remember only 3 songs because of it, just because they were the proper volume. No radio hosts and commercials is sad. Feels like I'm listening to a mixtape rather than a radio.

The AI is weird? They act the same in every mission which is not the case in base game.

Think more about camera during cutscenes. Sometimes framing is just weird

after being harsh (hope those things gets fixed in future mods):

I very much like the missions. They are pretty varied.

AI voiceover is a good idea here (even though I very much despise AI and find the execution here quite poor)

Side content is cool.

Glad to see the heli being used in some missions.

JD story, was cool. I wish he was the protagonist as seeing his hope blind him while he's used by everyone around him was more engaging than the later part for me. You got a sad thing going on with him. Well done.

It was a nice touch to move hidden packages and the pickups. That f*cked with my muscle memory ALOT but I appreciate it, it makes it feel like a new entry in the series rather than a mod/DLC.

Overall,

I believe that you guys have a very solid FOUNDATION, but it could use a lot finishing touches. The lack of detail and some small annoyances/weird things is what separates you from Rockstar. That's at the same time not that much, and a lot.

It could've been a lot more than it already is. Don't settle on mid when it comes to certain aspects. Give it some more polish. You've shown that you are capable of such things by creating those mods.

I'm just curious at something about this mod, are the artworks actually drawed by actual artists or are they AI-generated?

The only thing AI-generated about this mod is the voice acting and nothing else, at least to my knowledge.

On that note, I'm sure the PS2 version of the mod will be released eventually.

Sindacco Chronicles 2.0 is released. It is an update that brings numerous gameplay, design, SFX and radio changes to the PSP version of the game, as well as fixes for various bugs and flaws. The main focus of the update is changing content of questionable quality and replacing it with a new one, and also fixing unbalanced aspects of gameplay. However, the biggest change is an edited story and a redesign of the voiceover — now it is more up-to-date with 2024 standards. This update is the base for future ports of the mod to other platforms.

Finally got time to play this mod, and I'm enjoying it a lot, specially the soundtrack, congrats! I gotta ask tho, any chance of an Android version?

They have plans to make the PS2 version of Sindacco Chronicles soon, and I'm sure that an Android version is probably in the cards, too.

I don't know if it's been mentioned here, but the game, v2.0 to be specific, keeps crashing on the 4th 'Liberty Humdrums' mission, Street Racer. Whenever I get close the vehicle, it gives me this:

TBH, I managed to get close to the vehicle once (but I suck at helicopters, so I hit some buildings and failed the mission), by flying all the way to Wichita, then coming back westbound towards Pike Creek. I haven't managed to do it again though.

It's a well made mod, especially giving the limitations you have to work with. But please let someone else do a localisation pass for it in English, the really funny sometimes really bad English massively undermines any attempt at telling the story you want, especially when the Text to Speech voices start reading it.

So I managed to beat that mission, and the game 100% as well. I gotta say, I'm truly impressed with it. The story was fun, it gave me that "how will they handle when 'that' thing happens in the other storyline?", which I like it. It did feel like an expansion to LCS, a very welcome one, kudos!

On a side-note, you guys gotta update the maps on the website now, it calls some missions by their old names, and the Myths map is outdated with the new myth (which I haven't found yet

Did you even play the 2.0 update?

Yutes of Cards

Wishing someone made an HD UI mod since the one i found is outdated. Like imagine someone ported the [Stories PSP] HD UI For PS2 Assets Mod or GTA Liberty City Stories Ultimate HD Project (Its so the LOD buildings doesn't look like crap)

If you're planning to make a third version of the Sindacco Chronicles mod, here are my suggestions for the "mission passed" themes:

Act 1 - Replace "Shotgun" by Jr. Walker & The All Stars with a snippet of "L.E.D." by Reed from GTA2.

Act 2 - Replace "Maybe" by The Chantels with a snippet of "Complications" by Ohjaamo from GTA 1.

Act 3 - Replace "Paint it Black" by the Rolling Stones with this "mission passed" theme from a recently discovered LCS prototype from July 2005.
