Getting rid of weapons?

So... I have a whole bunch of weapons on my weapon wheel, and most of them I don't use and don't WANT to use.  Examples are the Navy Revolver, and those unrealistic laser guns.  Part of the issue is I can't seem to select a weapon to use while driving, but the reality is I really only want to make use of a select few weapons.

 

So, I used HALF of all my cash to put a weapon locker in my MC clubhouse, thinking I'd be able to put all the weapons I'm not using into it (like in RDR2 Online).  However, I find that I can only put a tiny handful of them in there, and most of the offending weapons I most want to be rid of can't go in there.  I also can't just discard them.

 

So, here I am to ask if there's a way I don't know about?  If not, is there a way to select the weapon I'm using while driving?

Sounds like you got some weapons added to your inventory by cheaters? Cause if you bought them, you can hide everything normally. Try playing match of arena wreck it or buzzer beater to get rid of stuff you did not buy.

You cycle trough your weapons in a vehicle with:

PS4/5: "Square" button
XBox: "X" button

PC: Mouse wheel forward or TAB key.

I tried the mouse wheel, but it doesn't do anything if you can't call up the weapon wheel.

 

For example, I was trapped in an impossible CEO mission tonight.  I was sent out in a dinghy to blow up a sailboat, kill the two escort boats, and collect 3 cargo containers.  As I did this, a helicopter appeared.  The gunner on this helicopter is a damn terminator, because his aim is 100% perfect, instantly killing me.  When I respawned, it was on a jetski.  I was already being shot WHILE I was respawning, so before I even moved, I was dead again.  Respawning, I was a bit further away, so I pulled out my weapon.  The game had decided to give me the short range sawed off shotgun.  No amount of button pressing would switch the weapon, so the helicopter just killed me again.  I respawned, being shot while doing so, and tried to get to the dinghy, so I could climb up and call up the weapon wheel.  Each time I tried to get to the dinghy, if I slowed down to dismount the jetski, the helicopter would instantly kill me, so I was leaping off while in midair, but the helicopter was STILL shooting me, 4-5 hits WHILE I WAS IN MIDAIR.  If I went under the water, he was magically able to shoot and never miss as well.  This went on for another 30 or 40 respawns.  Of course, none of this would have been an issue if I could have changed weapons from the shotgun... or just not been CARRYING the darn thing.  If it was up to me, I'd be carrying THREE and only three weapons, a pistol, machine gun and homing missile launcher.  But, the game won't let me do that, so I'm stuck getting loadganked by the npcs for however long a supply mission lasts.

 

But, I'll try tabbing again, it didn't seem to work, but maybe I missed it somehow.

(the AI helicopters on that Special Cargo mission are Terminators indeed - you'll be spawn-trapped if you're within about 300m / 1000ft. If you can get away, snipe them from the shoreline or if you can stand [not ride] on a boat/jetski, or grab a suitably speedy and/or armoured vehicle to dash in and grab the crates) 

As for your query, if you've been given weapons (by choice or not!) by a script-kiddy then they're notoriously difficult to get rid of. If you can't store them in your gun locker and if you can't drop them by pressing F9 whilst the weapon wheel is open, then you're stuck with them - short of reporting the matter to Rockstar or deleting your character, of course.

Keep grinding. That mission is ridiculously easy with an Opressor MK 2 (probably a Buzzard Attack Helicopter or Sparrow Helicopter too-but never tried it with those). The more tools you have the easier the game gets.
