Why should i deliver 10 securicars to the cracker garage?

So on the GTA Wiki it is mentioned that delivering 10 securicars to the cracker garage is an unrequired task. However, why is it mentioned in the first place? As far as i know there is no mention of this in your stats, there is nothing in the game that tells you to do it, so why is this "important"? as somebody who likes to do absolutely everything that could be regarded as contributing to a 100% completion (im aware that this isnt required for 100%), i'm just weirded out by it. If anyone knows why this exists in the first place, then please tell me, i would appreciate any response.

As far as I know the exact number of delivered Securicars is saved in the savegame. So if you have delivered 14, this value is in your savegame, but you can not see the value in the statistics menu.

 

I guess that it was originally intended that this task counts in the statistics and was required for the 100%. But it is and remains an assumption, I can not explain what the reason should be, that one has taken it out of the statistics. Maybe because the Securicars rarely spawn in the PS2 version and without the I/E garage that would be a tedious task.

Yes, that is correct.

 

You also do get a pager message to inform you about the garage after completing "Van Heist". It says "Any more Securicars you want cracked? Bring them to our garage in the Portland Harbor."

 

You will receive a cash reward that decreases in amount for up to 10 Securicars. It does seem unclear why the task exists and why it does not count towards 100% completion, but it's fairly quick to complete once you've completed the Portland Harbor I/E Garage and can get a Securicar whenever you wish, and it's something I will always get done in my personal playthroughs.
