You need to edit the HD and LOD levels and sometimes the LOD levels are part of the map mesh, so you will need to edit the actual map mesh to do it if that's the case. Use Codewalker to edit the HD objects and then use 3DS Max + Gims Evo (or whatever the Blender method is) to edit the map mesh. It all depends on how the area of the map has been created, different areas requre different methods. Codewalker lets you select different levels of detail in the map, so you have to change detail levels and see how the trees are added at each level. Edit: This was slightly incorrect... it has been many years since I looked at this kind of thing. At lower LOD levels, trees can be part of a YDD (a drawable dictionary) instead of a YDR. A drawable dictionary is like a collection of YDR files inside one object. Like this... see how there are many models in the list on the left side of the window. So if you remove that object from Codewalker, it will remove everything in this dictionary but as you can see, there are other things in there along with the trees. Each one of those objects in the list is a model but each model can also contain many trees, like this: So there are 6 trees inside that model. If you wanted to remove just one of those trees, you would have to export the YDD, find the model inside the collection that contained the tree you wanted to remove and then you would need to edit that model in 3DS Max or Blender and remove the polygons for that tree.
