I have been trying to figure out the settings but it's a little tricky with this one.

 

The game uses a different solution to solve aliasing on PS5 than it does on PC.

 

This is my assumption based on what I've seen, I am very knowledgeable about this so I could be totally wrong, it would be great to get the xml file for those settings.

 

Texture quality: Very High.

Shader quality: Very High.

Shadows quality: (weird one because RT shadows but even without them it doesn't match any of the available ones, I think it's between High and Very High.

Reflection quality: Very High (performance) and Ultra (Fidelity).

Water: Very High.

Grass Guality: Tricky one too, it seems to be somewhere between High and Very High.

Post FX: I believe this is Ultra, or some point between Very High and Ultra.

Anisotropic filtering: x16

Soft Shadows are more similar to the Nvidia/AMD ones than they are to the Softest option but again RT shadows can't be compared to the normal shadows.

 

Ambient Occlusion is High

Tessellation is also Very High.

 

This is PC (almost max settings)

Shadows are a grey area here, not sure what's the right option for them.

 

I have seen people say that the shadows (RT) on PS5 look better than PC, I personally disagree with that, I still think PC shadows look better than ours on consoles.

the PS5 settings filer is already going around.
so we can see exactly what settings there are.
particlequality goes higher than PC.
so probably the E&E particles will be the new ultra settings on PC then

your were close with some of your guesses

like reflection quality is ultra on fidelity but only high on performence

like reflection quality is ultra on fidelity but only high on performence

So can you give us the settings as they are on PS5?

I wanna try them on PC, I know you can't replicate all of them but at least the ones possible.

lol i posted the file.
you can just look through it and adjust it for you.

compare it with your pc settings.xml file.
and regarding the values.

except shadow quality, 0 is usually the lowest setting you can set ingame.

Texture quality and water quality seem to have some value we don't have on PC, I have mine on the very high, yet the two files here suggest there's an "ultra" kinda thing on PS5.

After looking at the text file up there, I suppose the (almost) equivalent graphics settings to the PS5 are the following:

 

The game is using a different technique to solve aliasing on consoles, so I think MXAA should be set to 4 for both modes? either way, there's no equivalent for it on PC.

 

Quality mode:

 

Ped Density: ? - can't tell for this one but I would guess it's 100%

Ped Verity: 100%

Distance Scaling: ? - can't tell for this one but I would guess it's 100%
Texture Quality: Very High (PS5 has a higher value than this one)

Shader Quality: Very High

Shadow Quality: Very High

Reflection Quality: Ultra

Water Quality: Very High (PS5 has a higher value for this one)

Particles Quality: Very High (PS5 has a higher value for this one)

Grass Quality: Ultra

Soft Shadows: The Softest

Post FX: Ultra

Motion Blur Strength is based on preference since there's a slider for it.

Anisotropic filtering: x16

Ambient Occlusion: High (I think this one is high, I can't find the exact setting for it)

Tessellation: Very High

 

Advanced Graphics are all off.

The current-gen versions changed the renderer entirely to the one we have in RDR2, so some graphics settings won't be available on the current PC version of GTA V. There's a lot of back-end additions, and some settings can have higher values now in "E&E".

A little update on this one; I've been on PC & PS5 and tried to match them together, PS5 was in Performance (and Performance RT), it's impossible to accurately match the graphics, but I think this should be able to help getting as close as possible.

 

Note: PC screenshots are all in 1440P, PS5 is using an upscaled 4k, according to the settings file above it upscales from a 1440p image.

-Grass shadow on this screenshot is set to High, setting it to Very High doesn't match what we got on PS5, so it's up to you if you want it on High or Very High.

 

-Draw Distance is the exact same as well, the slight differences you see in the are likely a result of the the two platforms using different resolutions (PS5 is upscaled 4k, the files are calling it 1440P, so that's what I picked for the PC screenshots).

 

-Shadow Quality is set to Very High (I have set it to High, but on PC, if you set it to High, the dynamic headlight shadows don't work on vehicles, so I went higher which actually provided a better shadow casting from both headlights on all objects than it did on PS5 which only casts one, that means it's an option in the middle of these two values).

-Shadow Quality is set  to Very High, it doesn't matter what setting you put in there (High or Very High), it never looks like the PS5 one, which probably means it's a mix between the settings, just like the Grass Quality, the next example should clarify that too:

I've tried different settings here, nothing matches the PS5 one, it gets even weirder with the RT mode as the shadows get blurrier.

This is for the reflection quality, just as mentioned in the previous comment, the performance mode of PS5 uses the "Very High" setting of PC for the reflections, here's another example:

Reflections are the exact same.

 

Now, the settings used here are the following:

-Resolution is 1440p as mentioned before, Vsync is on. FXAA is on, MSAA is off (the game is using a different AA solution on consoles, so it's difficult to match them)

 

-Soft Shadows: slight mistake there, it's actually the "Softest" option I picked for the screenshots, but it doesn't matter anyway because it is impossible to match them.

 

-The three sliders are all set to 80%, per the setting file provided in previous comments.

 

-Advanced Shadows are all off, I have experimented with these in order to match the shadows in some shape or form, but to no results.

it´s only "High" in Performence mode

the values fit well to PCs file.

Strange, well take a look at the two screenshots, that was on "Very High", I took a screenshot of the settings used as I was still standing there.

slightly though

like the corner of the building looks a bit clearer on PC
