Xbox Series X Question.

I have just bought my Series X and in the Display/Camera settings I can't find the "Sharpness" slider. (I had that slider on Series S.)

Can anyone tell me if this is normal? Why is it missing?

It might have something to do with RDR2 running at a higher resolution on One X/Series X (native 4K compared to a measly 864p on base Xbox One and Series S). Perhaps R* implemented it on base One to combat the blurriness of the lower resolution, and that they didn't feel it was necessary at 4K?

You're 100% right. That's why the slider is missing. I currently run the game on a 1080p monitor but I'm sure it runs at native 1080p on the Series X (native 4K if I had a 4K monitor) instead of 864p. The game looks significantly better even at 1080p compared to the Series S version.

Edward RDRIII

The Xbox Series S runs the same version of RDR2 as the Xbox One Fat/S.

IIRC, the game still renders at native 4K internally if you're using a 1080p display with a One X/Series X (the game does support 1080p rendering on PS4 Pro, though). So you're essentially getting a supersampled image on your monitor.

Really? I didn't know that. Maybe that's why it looks sharper than it did on PS4, which is just regular 1080p.
