LucidLocomotive Posted June 1 Share Posted June 1 On PS3, the default aiming mode was aim assist-full, where you could switch between targets while aiming. You could do it by flicking the right analogue stick like in GTAIV and Max Payne 3. On PS4, the default aiming mode is aim assist-partial, where you can’t switch between targets while aiming. You have to put the gun down physically and then aim again to switch targets. I’m wondering why did they make this change. Was it something to do with Online, or did they just think that was a better gameplay experience to have as default? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
LucidLocomotive Posted June 2 Author Share Posted June 2 Certain sections certainly do feel more awkward with the partial aim assist, such as the end of prologue, when Trevor opens fire upon the police. It feels like it was designed for Trevor to shoot in different directions, but with the ps4 default mode, he has to go back into cover between each time he aims, which looks very odd and seems weird.
