joepowell567
Hi, I've been playing the Steam version of GTA SA for about a year now and I've done many hours of it. Recently, I had a Windows update which seemed to break the game. Now whenever I play, I get about 5 mins of playing time before it crashes. If I'm playing a save file I get a gta-sa.exe has stopped working message but if I'm starting a new game the window just closes, no error messages or anything. I have tried the following but nothing has worked so far: Uninstalled and reinstalled the game Undoing the windows update Changing the comparability settings to Win98/ME and 768 resolution Rolling back to a system restore point At this point I'm just absolutely out of ideas. I don't know what to do next. I don't have any mods or cleo things installed. Any help is much appreciated.
universetwisters
This isn’t the right section to post about SA errors but have you changed the compatibility mode you’re playing the game in?

ArmanCan
@joepowell567 In this request player solved the similar problem by himself.. You can also install "Silent Patch" to your SA.. This will fix/correct some in-game errors/graphics..
