Yeah Im just throwing this out there for discussion. I literally cannot sell Nightclub without being destroyed every single time. This was rare on PS4.

Really? I have had no trouble with this so far--hasn't been particularly different from PS4 for me. Advice though: make sure you are a CEO (not MC) and keep your Abilities menu open. If the lobby is quiet, start on radar but ghost org if anyone remotely threatening (Oppressor, jet, whatever) heads vaguely in your direction. If the lobby is NOT quiet, ghost org the second the global alert timer ends. Most sales will take you out of the city, so drive fast and if you can get north of Vinewood before you're on radar again, people usually will not bother trying to come after you.

Another tip for what it's worth: I always have my own Oppressor as my PV before I start a sale. If my ghost org is gone and I suspect I'm being hunted, I flat out get out of the vehicle, call for my Oppressor, and go straight at them. Better than being a sitting duck.

Try this trick with your router:

Afraid that your precious sale can be blown up? Don't want to take penalty for restarting sale mission? Someone already destroyed half of your product, but you want to punish them before leaving? Block outbound connection for following IP: 192.81.241.170, 171, 175, 191, and there won't be any cloud synchronization from the moment it active. No losses permanently taken, but no goods produced either. Just remember to deactivate the rule after successful sale (and change outfit to force save) or you're risking to cancel it.

Remember that 90% of people don't know or care about free-aim lobbies. They log on and play the default assisted-aim mode, get used to it over time and put up with all the noobs and dickheads as a result. If you can adapt to actually aiming your controller instead of automatically locking on, you will find the lobbies less intense. Yes, if there are griefers, you may not be able to lobby hop and get rid of them as easily, but getting out of default assisted-aim lobbies can be a lifesaver if you want to do things more calmly in freemode. Over time you will get used to seeing similar names and faces and learn who minds their own business and who prefers confrontational behavior. You will be amazed how much easier it is to find cooperative lobbies with just six to 12 players. Seriously, why would anyone play in the default dumping ground out of choice?

This! Have done IT since 8 years. MTU 700 or 750 does IT for me

A PS Network setting Thing.

Go to Network settings, choose your Connection and Change MTU from automatic to Manual and then 700/750

Yeah on ps5 go to settings >network> set up internet connection . Click on your connection info ....press start button > in sub menu hit advanced settings > scroll down to mtu > change mtu from 1500 to 800. Boom solo lobbies ....you may get timed out once or twice but once in you can sell in peace

Worked on PS4 too, but much easier to do on PS5, since the PS5 stores several network settings. You only need to switch between settings now, instead of resetting your one connection setting.

I set MTU to 710. Even if I join in a lobby with a few others, they leave within 10 seconds. Low MTU is a life saver in this game.

I do hope, one day, that we won't need to do this anymore and be able to do all activities in Invite Only sessions.

Such an overdue change. Very little content for the past few years is locked to public sessions, so why not unlock the old stuff? Goes back to Rockstar's unwillingness to mess with old content very much, even if it's an easy change that would very much improve player experience. Sigh.

FWIW, did a Nightclub sale on PS5 just today, in a session with 16 players. No issues, didn't even have to ghost org even though it was one of the sales that is entirely inside city limits. Some lobbies are just quiet. I did have my CEO abilities menu open the entire time, though. I also noticed that a guy seemingly thought about running me down near the end, but I hit the checkpoint before he got anywhere close; he quit the session immediately after. Had I not been right at the end, I would have ghosted of course. Not even sure he meant to attack me, but he headed my direction for sure, then paused and left after my mission ended. Shrug.

I don't find this an issue...its about the same for me as it was on PS4.

I'll gauge the heat of the lobby if its okay then I'll start it out and use some of the tips shared above if things get a little dicey.

Im not sure if its my level (7xx) or, what but people rarely chase after me.
I suspect it is the level as I recently remade my character on PS4 and, I gotta tell you when you're low level people attack you much more.

This 100%.  Although the option is in place, go and look up R* live streams for the first few businesses and the Mc update.  They were actively getting destroyed so they went invite only lobby and showed off the new “at the time” business.  Again the option is there just not for us.

So I have been playing in invite only lobbies for the better part of the last 3 or 4 years on PS4, then I transferred to PS5 and I jumped back into public lobbies and that's the one thing I have noticed.

There are way more griefers than what I remember on PS4, I thought it was just me having not played in public lobbies for so long but it really is pretty bad.

And it's the worst offenders too, most of my fights ended up with me getting obliterated with the OC after they teleport and hid there like cowards, this didn't happen back on PS4.

Learned my lesson to sell my MC only in public-solo the first time I got OCed and lost 1.2 mil. It was the time I was poor as a church rat (I had ~800k after I've just bought The Arcade), just got all my business' set up and was starting the actual money grind, so it really stung me. Now, if you like the "interaction" and getting in fights - be my guest. But if you want to make money - go solo (unless you have a group of friends with your mindset).

Another thing, purely mathematically, I'm pretty sure that the extra money you'll get from selling in full lobbies equals the ones you'll make in selling in solo, as in the end, someone will grief you and in a way you'll retroactively lose that extra cash you've made along the way.

As a fellow PS5 player who routinely completes sell missions solo in public 16-30 player lobbies (to get the high demand bonus) I too have observed a significantly higher number of griefer-type players per lobby compared to PS4.

I suspect this is due to there being less lobbies overall at the moment, so the griefer-types aren’t as spread out as they otherwise would be. It’ll get better over time.

The key to selling in populated lobbies is situational awareness. Know your lobby. Assess before you sell. Start a war to distract if you have to.

Also don’t buy into the “free aim lobbies are safer” nonsense. They’re not, it’s a trap.

Arrows to Athens

I've also noticed more griefers and tryhards in public sessions on the PS5. They're so much worse than on PS4.

Imo the High Demand bonus isn’t worth it unless you can sell in a full crew lobby. But thats just for a few thousands ppl on PC. Best is to sell solo without waiting, without trying to guess who’s willing to attack you among +25 randumbs...so much time wasted hoping lobbies.

Depends on the sale mission. 29% of $2,220,000 for special cargo isn’t something to turn your nose up at, considering the effort put in… especially when it’s double payout. 💰

I thought the same from 2016 to 2019 but now, well...SC is so poorly paying in comparison to farm DCH, or better Cayo but the latter is boring. That Tug mission with Ghost Org is probably the easiest in the whole set of delivery missions. But really I don’t like the missions with 15 drop offs, several Brickades, its just too easy to disrupt for Griefers.

I definitely get a gauge for lobby aggression before doing large sales. Not sure what people are suggesting here? Just jump in and hope for fortuitous weather? Sounds like a Rockstar marketing dream.

Luckily, most other people are thinking or doing the same thing and occupied with their own activities, which have increased in quantity over the years, but if there are two twits in jets or, even worse, recognized griefers (I know a lot) then back off until later.

Then again, I rarely do special cargo or biker sales these days, which saves me a lot of hassle. I see that Rockstar are promoting these sales in the Newswire this week, so heightened interest and extra griefing could be rampant.
