I had these GPU's over the years, had my first PC in the year 2005 or 2006 not 100% sure anymore. It was the Counterstrike Source and Battlefield 2 era.

 

Nvidia 7950 GT 512 MB V-RAM (Can't remember, think it was MSI or Gainward)

Nvidia 8800 GTX 768 MB V-RAM (XFX)

Nvidia GTX 470 1.28 GB V-RAM (ZOTAC)

Nvidia 2xSLI GTX 780 3 GB V-RAM (EVGA)

Nvidia 2xSLI GTX 1070 8 GB V-RAM (ASUS)

Nvidia RTX 2070 8 GB V-RAM (MSI)

Nvidia RTX 3080 10 GB V-RAM (ASUS)

 

I still own one of the GTX 1070's, the RTX 2070 in my laptop, and of course the RTX 3080. Maybe i skip RTX 40XX generation, or maybe not im not sure yet. Afaik the 40XX will consume a ton of power, i hope the gen afterwards doesn't do that. But one thing is for sure, i stick to ASUS.

It never hurts having several computers. I thought about giving away my Oldrig to my step nephew, he is 12 years old atm, but he breaks so much stuff, im not sure the rig would survive long. He probably would download tons of viruses, malware etc. and break the harddrives.

 

Funny thing my oldrig and current rig both have the same power supply unit. Incase the one in my current one breaks i can just put the older one in it.

Yes, I had Voodoo cards, from the V2 through the V5, at which point I switched over to the TNT2 Ultra. This is going back a ways.

 

The Voodoo cards were a big advance at the time. Right around the time of Longbow 2, Grand Prix Legends and those sort of sims. They ran and looked a lot better on Voodoo cards for sure.
