Custom Crew Emblem Import - New Method

Hi all,
I made a tool to convert images into emblems to import/upload. It is written in Javascript so there is no .exe to download and there is no website that you have to register on - it runs from your computer in your web browser.

How to use it:

Download the code from the pastebin link and save it as an .html file.

Open the file in your web browser.

Import your image.

Press the Create Emblem button.

Make adjustments using the options on the left if necessary.

Press the Create Code button.

Copy the code.

Paste the code into the console for the emblem editor and  hit enter.

How it works:
It slices up an image into 1px-wide strips and recreates the pixels in those strips from gradients applied to rectangles. It then generates the console code required for the emblem editor.

 

Notes:
Some images will need to be resized or adjusted. It will not work for a 512x512 full colour image but some 512x512 images will work (depending on the image). If you are creating a logo style crew emblem, it is best to create it on a 256x256 canvas. While testing I found that 512x512 images often look worse in-game than 256x256. More tips in the video.

It works like a charm! 
Made some changes and adjustments so the emblem could load properly on your converter but the result is excellent. It would had took me ages to make the same design on the R* crew page.

Hello,

sorry to disturb you, but do you have any tips on creating an emblem, specifically for this purpose? Im trying to create it in photoshop, but im not very skilled and the logo eventually comes as blurry/jagged in game (mainly in the Facility).
I tried resized my 1024 x 1024 source to 512 x 512 (which cant be used, but would look good), then to 256 x 256 and 128 x 128, but these dont look good when used in game -> format .png of course.

Is it even possible to create an custom emblem which would look good everywhere (car, clothing, facility...)?
