collectors map not working correctly

unfortunately the collectors map is not working correctly anymore.

all the wild flowers and all the buried item locations are wrong.

 

only the tarot cards and the items in trees or houses are at the correct locations.

 

it's also kind of difficult to get the daily challenge "find 3 collectibles with the shovel" if none of them is in their shown spot.

 

i'm not sure if it's wrong everyday or just on some occasional days.

is there any solution on how to find those collectibles?

maybe another new map?

not THAT difficult. simply ride around the map with that detector in hand....it will start ticking eventually.

btw the map is working just fine, for me at least

it seems to be a problem with my game (on pc).

i cannot use certain collectors maps from madam nazar anymore either.

i dont know why.

for some maps when i open them it says it wouldnt be possible at the moment, maybe some maps will get unlocked with a higher collectors rank.

but my rank is already maxed out and it always worked without any problems.

for example the wild flowers map and the coin map dont work anymore.

and i cannot find any wild flowers in the world anymore.

is this maybe a new known bug in the game on pc?

I had this problem for quite some time these past months and thought it was a “nerf” on my detector not working and maps bugged because I couldnt open them either. Til I decided to open a ticket and got my problem solved ( a miracle, yes, a R* employee helped me).

 

You have to clear your R* launcher profile, also do that verification check on the files and its done.

 

If you need a more detailed explanation how to do it I can copy/paste the steps I got from the support.

Been off and on with the game because of it.

Open the file explorer and go to C:\ Users\ Your Name\ Documents\ Rockstar Games\ Red Dead Redemption 2\ Settings

In the above location, delete everything except system.xml, then go to: C:\ Users\ Your Name\ Documents\ Rockstar Games\ Red Dead Redemption 2\ Profiles\ CC9AD308

There, delete everything except the KeyMappings.

Click "Play" on Red Dead and whether you want to sync saves, click "No". Start the game and calibrate the brightness, click "Login" and exit the game from the Social Club menu. After that, go to the settings in the Rockstar Games Launcher, choose Red Dead and click the "Enable Cloud Interpreted" box (set it to ON). This will ask if you want to use our old data from cloud files - don't use them, click on local files. And click "Yes".

Steps:

1: In the Rockstar Games Launcher settings, delete the local profile
2: Go to windows docs and delete profile config file
3: Log back into the Launcher and start the game normally
4: Skip cloud save conflict
