No parachute in PAC Standard finale

I haven‘t played for more than a year and just returned to LS. Tried to do the PAC Standard finale 3 times and failed. When I jump with my bike over the cliff and press F to leave the bike, my character does not wear a parachute. If I remember it correctly, the parachute was automatically equipped - did that change meanwhile?

Are you doing any glitches in that finale or do everything by the book? Certain exploits can glitch out parachute

Also couple years ago r* changed something when bailing from vehicles mid air so if it's not an aircraft you don't immediately go into glide, but fall a bit uncontrollably. Maybe it's just this what you're experiencing.

If all else fails, there's no need to do the jump, drive directly to the dinghy.
