I really needed this as a fall release this year... Yeah a shame it's release is next year, but damn a 1000 planets, and you can explore them all. Really impressing. Edit: Yay now i can stop watching the stream. Edited June 12 by Mexicola9302 DEADWOODZ

Commander S
"So, Bethesda, which existing space games do you reckon best compare to Starfield? Mass Effect, No Man's Sky, The Outer Worlds, Elite: Dangerous, Star Citizen..." Bethesda: "Yes." That's actually what gets me the most about it: from moment to moment, every individual bit looks like something I've seen a fair few times elsewhere, and so I'm non-plussed - but then they pull back and show something else, and you realise it does all of it in the one game (or at least, that's how it looks so far). SpaceBeagle
Thank gods, Starfield turns out really great - and as latest 'leak' was that game is almost finished, so looks like that all this extra time will be for testing & QA... Lets hope it will be 'bug free' on day one for real
Mexicola9302
There will never be a bug free game by Bethesda, let's just hope it's not a distaster like Fallout 76 was. Sure FO76 was made by another studio, but really every Bethesda games had lots of bugs. But im pretty sure modders will fix it, like every other Bethesda game before. Jason
It'll have bugs and it'll have jank, no ifs or buts. But by modern standards Bethesda's jank and bugs really aint that bad, unless they royally f*ck it up anywho, but that's hopefully why it was delayed. Zello
We love Bethesda because of the bugs.
Spider-Vice
Starfield is basically Fallout in space. It has all of the typical Bethesda jank, stuff they've just literally copied and pasted as usual, but on top of that also what seem to be extremely varied environments, a nice crafting and building system, and what could be a great campaign story line. I have some reservations, but I'm also excited, remains to be seen! I would have expected a new IP to fix some of the same jank we've been seeing for like 10-15 years now with AI, combat, cutscenes etc. but apparently not. That cutscene with the blonde woman looked like something out of Fallout 4 (which I loved btw, just wish Bethesda would address some of their typical jank). let your hopes and dreams turn into burning fire! Jason
Stardew Valley really kickstarted a whole generation of life sim style games and while I've actually not played Stardew as 2D isn't really my thing, I am all for these games coming out as I'm sure one will eventually tickle my fancy and Nivalis might be that game. Same - I like the idea of Stardew Valley, but not the specifics, but there are a few things, like Nivalis, Coral Island, and Palia (which is more a combination of this 'slice-of-life' game and an MMO-lite, from the sound of things) that do similar, but in ways that are a bit more my jam. 3 hours ago, DEADWOODZ said: PC gaming show was a wee bit juicy. Looking forward to Nivalis, more cyberpunk cities. Yes pls. Looks even better than the previews - and as much as the 'everything is voxels' look worked in Cloudpunk, I do like the more conventional 3D character models here, because they hold up that bit better when you're walking around up close. Hopefully there's decent character customisation, and you're not just locked in first person, looking at your hands the whole time... ...moot point for me right now, though, because there's not been any word of a console release yet! Hopefully within the next year - but I expect it won't be cross-gen, because if Cloudpunk is anything to go by, that dense, busy environmental design is deceptively hardware-taxing. Cloudpunk was already not great on Switch, and only worth a punt on older-gen consoles on the likes of One X (where it ran just fine, to be fair!) - I think this'll definitely have to skip Switch and cross-gen, because there's just so much more of everything. Also, I just checked, and Thomas Welsh is back doing the writing for it - that's terrific news, because I just can't imagine a follow-up to Cloudpunk that doesn't have that same wry, whimsical spin on cyberpunk. IzzyBlues
I'm gonna pass on Starfield. Space games just don't interest me at all. I really enjoyed Skyrim though, so I'm looking forward to The Elder Scrolls VI more than anything else. Fallout wasn't my cup of tea either. The moment I had to open up the console to hack my way through a mission because a bug was preventing me from progressing further is my shut off point. I just don't have the patience for that anymore. Dan Houser's personal barber

Spider-Vice
I mean I think it's a great homage to the N64 era shooters, I think that's what they were going for, and I think it looks great when you see it for what it is. My only issue is that because they're likely using a modern engine, it won't run on old machines despite everything being low poly and low res. Would be cool for retro gamers who have retro machines to experience a 2022 game calling back to the ol' times. let your hopes and dreams turn into burning fire! Jason
Steam currently has a Next Fest event running and there's a load of demos as per usual. Tried a handful so far and I've gotta recommend; https://store.steampowered.com/app/1593030/Terra_Nil/ - Fairly fresh take on a classic city builder where instead of building a city you're rebuilding nature. It's more of a puzzler (you can fail a level for example) than just being about building a giant natural utopia, but it's kinda neat. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1390410/Midnight_Fight_Express/ - This game feels fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun. The combat feels pretty great in the little I played, and the skill tree looks like it unlocks a load of new combat moves as well. Might have to play this one when it launches proper, I think it's coming to Games Pass too. Karl11
Mexicola9302
I think it makes more sense to just play Goldeneye with a N64 emulator, to get that retro feeling, at least it's the original. Well or Perfect Dark of course, both works fine with emulators. I wish there were real remakes of both Golden Eye and Perfect Dark. Hopefully the new Perfect Dark isn't such a piece of trash like the previous one. I mean this one just looks like comic graphics, the original Perfect Dark didn't look like this.
