Ok if you are a newer player you need to do the casino heist prep where you get the outfit with the safety vest, after that wear that vest always as in doing so will alert the npc traffic as you are there and will actively avoid you while you are in the street.  This is 100% effective at not getting hit by traffic while crossing the road during a gun fight.  Also wearing any of the prison guard outfits tricks the cops into thinking you’re one of them and will not attack you while you have a wanted level,  this also helps during gun battles to help keep you focused on your enemies instead of the cops.

Weirdly enough, I have only been getting this issue on PS5, I've been playing on PS4 for years and only got it like 3 or 4 times.

There are some objects on that bridge to the military base, you gotta run them over, all of them.

Related to PVP:

- Sniper dance, shooting around corners & trough distant buildings is the opposite of good PVP

- High K/D ratio does not get you any friends or sexual partners

- If you use a noobbike you are a noob, even if you perfected that 'skill'

- Even if you have the best possible intentions (cosplay or whatever) any vaguely military outfit makes you a tryhard

- If you shoot down an unarmed air vehicle you are a sad little noob
- If you use a weaponized vehicle you are essentially inviting all other players to attack you

- Abuse of (god etc) glitches is not okay "because otherwise R* would have fixed it"

 

Related to PVE:

- Giving high level players a smaller cut (without any sort of communication) is not how you get them to carry you trough the heists you keep failing

- If somebody is in cover in a spot that clearly only fits one person, dont force yourself in cover next to them
- Likewise, if somebody is leaning out of cover to shoot, dont get in their cover, pushing them out

- Everything important said to you is also shown on the bottom of the screen, if you dont listen at least read

- You have a minimap that 9 out of 10 times shows nearby enemies, use it

- You have an inventory for snacks and armor, use it

- There are (these days several types of) clothes that make your armor more potent during missions, use them

- Doomsday heist should exclusively be played by high level players (read: players that have the health to soak up a few hits)

- If you died during a survival and your teammate(s) still completed the wave, dont take 'their' armor
- If your teammate(s) keep failing at a certain task/causing restarts, instead of rage-quitting (wasting everybody's time) try tell them what to do or help them somehow
- If you dont understand English then stick to playing with people from your region

For those already aware of what im gonna list here, i know, im a broken record, but F*CK cockstar, im still extremely pissed off about the following:
- Having a long history of cheater reports means nothing to R*
- Having a long history of bug reports means nothing to R*
- Having a legit level 1000+ character (read: a target on your back from most cheaters) means nothing to R*
- Having your account stolen and used by cheaters means nothing to R*
- Having solid proof of said events trough a third party (Valve/Steam) means nothing to R*
- Banned accounts somehow still playing and gaining more Russian friends every week means nothing to R* (?!?!?!?)
- If you use the R* social crap 'wall' to communicate to your friends that your account is compromised & they should remove you, your messages get deleted, try a couple of times and you lose the ability to post to your wall

Until you try it with a racing car, in my case the PR4, which came off second best to the plastic things. #immersion

 

As for unwritten rules, you must always humiliate yourself when you are just starting out by placing prox's outside my garage, despite me being in passive. Nice mask by the way. What is that, the joker or something? That's cool. You got the make up and the funny smile and everything. And the little purple things too. You're only allowed to play when it's not a school night, aren't you?

Avoid players in ALL airborne vehicles, including (but not limited to) Broomsticks, jets, Deluxos and helicopters.

Friendly players tend to be in "seldom seen" vehicles - such as taxis, go-karts & ramp buggies.  (Ramp buggies are great ways to make friends with randoms too - just drive head-on to them and watch them fly.  Usually they'll come back for a second (and third) jump to see how high they can get.

Car meets are always fun and friendly - but they're also prime targets for griefers (who then typically become targets for all the members of the car meet)

Going in the train tunnels with an Oppressor Mk2 is a great way to confuse everyone trying to target you - because they'll ALWAYS think you're high up, not underground.  Pair this with hiding under a street corner and they'll be confused as hell for ages.
