Will the new version be compatible with existing mods for SP?

No.

Glad to be proven wrong about the free upgrade, I was convinced they would charge 10 bucks for it.

Also super excited for RTGI. I knew they would add it seeing that old 2022 screenshot with it on

Theoretically, what are the chances that E&E will still support the "-nobattleye" launch parameter?

It won't. I reckon online will have BE enabled all the time, and SP will be separated.

I wonder if we can use the new dlss 4 transformer model from the Nvidia drivers. That tech is incredible. Dlss ultra performance doesn't look terrible and makes it possible to play games like cyberpunk with path tracing on mid tier gpus

Don't expect any of them to. I don't know the technical differences between E&E and the original, but it's likely that it's a brand new executable and format from the ground up instead of just a really big patch. Mods that just replace files could work assuming the .rpf format is the same and compatible with OpenIV but things like scripts will probably have to be remade.

I'm curious how it's going to be in epic games? Because currently don't have game installed on my system. So when I DO install the game, will epic going to install both legacy and expanded version?

You will have two entries in your library. GTA V Enhanced, and GTA V Legacy. "Legacy" is the current one. Both will be accessible at any time, separate installs however.

So I guess this will be a separate entry in our Steam library. Will we have to earn the achievements again or will they sync since we've already unlocked them on Social Club?

Online achievements will sync regardless. Story Mode achievements will sync when you migrate your save.

With OpenIV being basically dead, the E&E modding won't pick up unless somebody else makes the tools.

CodeX will probably get on it.

I am in Rockstar's Discord server too, seems like fun in there, and yes we do need something after Open IV has stopped being updated.

Are there are any deetz on the character save/transfer? Because I certainly don't want to lose all my vehicles and properties, and $300m+ lying around courtesy of El Rubio. IIRC, the save transfer from Gen 8 to Gen 9 reduced how much money you could transfer.

"All players who currently own GTAV on PC will be able to upgrade to this new version for free, with the ability to migrate your Story Mode and Online progress."

I'm assuming it's the exact same deal, 1:1, as the original console migrations. Except the character deletions, they reverted that real quick after backlash lol.

And hopefully no battleeye for single player or at least some command like -nobattleeye for it.

Will they bring standalone GTA Online version too?

No reference to such a thing in the Launcher, might not be a thing on PC tbh.

I haven't read too far into the PC-exclusive RT enhancements, but I will say that I'm pleasantly surprised that this is a free update for existing owners. I was legitimately expecting R* to charge some kind of small fee (like $5-10), seeing as 9th Gen owners had no upgrade path (although I'm sure they also knew that the PC gaming community has no patience for such shenanigans). Hopefully GTA VI and future releases don't take 3 years to hit PC, though; regardless of the actual reasoning, I'm getting pretty sick of the staggered release strategy.

Just a quick question regarding system requirements would my current setup inel i5 10400F and nvida 2060  16GB ram be suitable .

If you can currently play the game you'll be just fine (unless you get too adventurous with ray tracing, but you'll have DLSS). The GTA V system requirements should honestly have been updated years ago with all the content it's gotten.

Your setup is close to recommended (wish we knew what settings tho) so.
