GTA 5 PC was released 14th april 2015, GTA 6 probably will launch in october-november 2025, so it's not that near.

Oh right, I misread what they said and thought they meant GTA V anniversary in general, sorry about that. Maybe then but idk.

I wonder if they will fix GPU usage and using more cores in Online

That is a fundamental engine problem (with RAGE of the time), so... (it may run faster but probably won't be anything magical)

:panic::panic::panic:

After reading the newswire a couple of times, i can Say Iam very happy right know.

I had a feeling about news soon, Even earlier than expected.

It Will be next year, they are still cooking it.

Some folks are still holding their breathe I see. Cute.

Funny and sad at the same time.

Hello! :harrumph:

Have You seen the latest Rockstar newswire?

They only mentioned GTA Online. There was no mention of Single Player or Ray tracing. I hope we get everything consoles have, and more. DLSS, FSR 3.1, frame generation and maybe even higher RT presets.

They should really, given the console versions use FSR2 so the groundwork is there.

Console versions are using FSR 1 with TAA. FSR 2 released few months after E&E.

Let's speculate about E&E a bit.

...as well as plans to bring the much-requested PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S features of GTA Online to the PC platform in the new year.

They state "much-requested PS5 & Xbox Series features" in article. Does it mean that they will just update current PC version with these features (HSW, animals in online mode) without technical upgrades of the game itself (SGA, ray tracing) since it may require a different app or?

I forgot, does E&E exist on SteamDB as app?

Now let's hold on a bit. We still don't know what they mean by features.

I don't think they plan to release a full new PC version based on Gen9 ones. To me, it seems like they just want to put the exlusive GTAO content in the already existing PC versions. Stuff like Career Progress, HSW tuning, and other little features like that interaction menu garage management thingey.

Edit: yea well exacltly what was said above, lol. Ninjaed.

@Tez2 Do you happen to know if the Career progress challenges are tracked internally on pc atm? One could just start weeks ahead for the tedious stuff instead of waiting for the day 1 patch that enables the content.

I remember some challenges were already tracked on PC. You could see it on the GTAO website (although it was quite buggy) but they hid it after one of the recent updates.

So I guess it's tstill tracked, but atm there's no way to know which tier/challenge you completed or not (unless it's directly tied to a platinum award or something like that).

Possibly like a new version of the game app on Steam like how the new build replaces the old one. Could be like a kind of swap of that old renderer with sga renderer and contents from ps5 release.

Unless there is already a separate tracker on steamdb for a separate game build.

Yes. It is tracked.

I think they won't touch current version technically because E&E has different code elements and file extensions (correct me if I'm wrong) plus FiveM, mods and other things won't work if they edit current version.

Yeah that too. We will find out probably in April 2025.

"I understand the scepticism but we've already had leaks from the horses' mouth (RGL) that the actual full Gen9 version of GTAV/O is coming to PC so... it's just worded like that because the post is about GTAO and the best marketing way of describing it to everyone who's been asking for the Gen9 Online stuff, is "bringing the features to PC".

Wise Words from @Spider-Vice

They Will sell GTA+ on PC, why Will they Just give us just some "features"

It was in the RGL leaks also, it's coming in full versión.

Black-Dragon96

Well, I honestly didnt expect it to happen.

But I am also not as excited about it as I would have been 2,5 years ago. I doubt it will bring me back as a "full time" gta online player.

As someone who mainly sticks to SP, E&E's improved AA and motion blur alone are enough to make me excited about a (long overdue) PC release. Hopefully frame gen is implemented for both DLSS and FSR this time around.

Spoiler

Now we just need those fabled DE updates to come to consoles/PC. Modern, non-mobile releases for the Stories games and CTW wouldn't go amiss, either...

Looking forward to this one, I've long awaited the Career Progress which will be the reason for me to go back to GTAO more often. And also the best version of GTA V will be preserved through time, which is also nice.

I've never been #TeamBeliever, but I'm glad to see that the title of this topic has changed. And well done to those who kept believing against all odds!

no complaints here, better late then never but 2025? damn... might aswell not even release the thing since a few months later we will (hopefully) be playing VI. and it is interesting that they didnt mention GTA V, only Online which is scary and even more scary is the idea pointed out here that we may not get the enhancements like RT... Features is an interesting choice of words here since rockstar do love using the word enhance/enhancements... the fact that they didnt say features and enhancements does have me a bit worried, but if thats the case then there would be no reason to have a separate steam app and such a long delay... so theres that. Also no mention of it being paid so hopefully its a free update

As a foreign speaker of english I maybe wrong, but the expression "in the new year" suggests to me early in the year. Though it is ambiguous enough to mean anytime next year.

i wouldnt take their wording about timing seriously anymore. remember rockstar also promised us singleplayer dlc and online heists shortly after launch, and look how long we waited (and are still waiting)
