They should make 4K 40 fps mode for 120 hz TV's. Console players that have 120 Hz TV's love that mode, but many games don't offer it still.

prolly possible. i think console 30fps games run at 35-40 fps when you unlock their frame rate, with gta being no exception. 45-55fps would be nice and 4k40 would definitely be possible. i dont own a 4k120 tv so i can’t say too much, but 40 fps feels nicer than 30 (speaking from testing/experience)

those stub files also got added to PS4/XONE.

my guess it´s to provide combatibility.
like if you transfer your character.

bc everything in the game is via ID.
modkit id, then every clothing item also has a idea.

now imagine they just don´t add those stub files and then they add something on PS4/XONE/PC that is one of those IDs bc the E&E doesn´t exist.

then if someone were to transfer, then that could cause conflicts.

and when it drops on PC.
i am sure it will be much easier to just fill those g9ec dlcpacks too and unlock the content without any major changes.

 

R* had their reason.

i doubt they would make new stub dlcpacks if it would be useless.

and we know that the game is a spaghetti mess at this point.

so wouldn´t be surprised if those stub files prevent some issues.

and it makes it easier, bc they don´t have to remove entries from the dlclist and don´t really seperate those update.rpfs.
bc if you add dlcpacks to the dlclist but they don´t exist, then that could cause problems.

 

but anyway.

i am certain E&E stuff will come to PC down the road, the latest when PS4/XONE get dropped.

like i am doubtful that they still get the summer dlc and i strongly doubt they will get the December dlc still.

 

i think it´s suspicious how they marketed Drug wars as a 2 part update.

reminds me of how ill gotten gains part 1 and 2 were the final updates for PS3/360...so if they try to do the same... then "last dose" will maybe be the final "update" for PS4/XONE lol

Dunno if sales results gonna make them drop Last Gen, they'll milk it out even if updates will cause the game run in 1 FPS...

This may sound kinda selfish, but I wish Last Gen drop happens soon honestly (performance issues and PC version update for sure).

Well, Rockstar decided to delay that due to the poor sales of the new consoles, but now things are changing.

 

First, PS5 is leading in terms of sales and production is ramping up. As well as rumors of a new PS5 model planned to be released this year reducing the costs of production for Sony.

 

In addition, Sony expects the first three months to smash PS4 records.

Secondly, this is the year we should expect Rockstar to start revealing more info about the next GTA or maybe even start the marketing campaign. Sooner or later, Rockstar would have to check off devoting resources towards PC E&E.

 

All in all, I expect PS4/X1 support to be dropped before we even reach the end of this year.

What I really want to know is the deadline to migrate old console characters. If the lapse is long enough, may we even skip this gen and jump from PS4 straight to PS6?

I think it will be available for long enough so more people can afford Current Gen consoles and migrate their profiles.

As said above, probably it's the way of update marketing (when they've called it a two-part update, even tho whole content is already in files), they just bring it in dripfeed way, not like Ill-Gotten Gains back in PS3, Xbox 360 times.

Kinda makes me think the same as 50 slot garage seems like proper send off to last gen. On the other hand if they plan on adding small scale updates like summer special, CE, even drug wars then they will continue to support last gen for the sheer number of players across all platforms. As for E&E on PC, it's kinda 50-50 odd, they hadn't mentioned anything about releasing it for PC for more than a year. Coming summer update is the latest chance to consider releasing it at least for me, after that yea they could release it, but what's the point? Why wait for 1.5 or 2 years for some visual improvements and HSW cars... Other possible scenario is they scrapped it and it won't ever come so they will just continue to support last gen and PC without E&E content.

I don't know anyone who bought it on PC, then again i don't talk about it that much with people i played with in the past, majority of those people don't even play GTAO or are barely active and  as i'm mostly solo grinder playing in invite only session those players i befriended are grinders anyway and grinders don't need sharkcards.

I did buy at the start to start off like the 14$ one or something but that's the only time, after that wel you know..certain glitches.. and I was playing a lot of casino heist 

To answer your overall question yes, many buy shark cards but maybe not as many as people on console?

I personally don't know anyone who bought a Shark Card on PC, but my experience is of course very limited and doesn't prove anything.

Even though the PC version has a userbase that it probably comparable to consoles (excluding maybe the PS4), I think it's pretty safe to assume that it doesn't generate as much revenue from Shark Cards mainly for these reasons:

- The PC Online mode isn't as enjoyable (and secure, although the situation has drastically improved with the latest update) as on consoles

- Modders can have and give unlimited money

- PC, by being an open platform, offers multiple other ways to enjoy the game (like singleplayer mods or FiveM)

 

The 50 car slot garage was datamined on day one and it is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC... In the end it's just another interior, I don't see how that could impact the performance of 8th gen consoles.

There is grinders on PC with 1Billion+ Legit money, not only modders.

I don't agree in the "is not as enjoyable us", yes of course there is hackers and modders but Iam playing since February 2016 on PC and despite some crashes and being putted in a cage My overall experience is pretty good so far, of course we PC players we need take some precautions and stay in invite only sometimes, but the majority of the PC playerbase is your common player.

I feel like Rockstar Will drop last gen this year and Will give the E&E treatment to PC, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Would be Nice if they give a small update to end the support of last gen and introduce E&E on PC in Say late March or early April but that is almost piping dreams. Maybe they use the last dose missions and the rest of the dripfeed as A Conclusión to last gen.

I absolutely agree that the big majority of PC players are just your typical player that you would find on console, but modders are a very loud minority and they unfortunately ruin (at least for me) the experience completely. I've been playing on PC since day one and, while the PC is now my only gaming platform, I still think that GTA Online offers a superior experience on consoles. I'm glad that overall you had a good experience on PC, but unfortunately your case doesn't apply to everyone else and I think many people here (myself included) have encountered modders way too many times.

 

I'm 100% sure there are many legit billionares on PC, but I think it's quite safe to assume they represent a small percentage in the "PC Billionaires Club"... But I wasn't talking about billionaires, I was just pointing out that with mods it's quite easy to give you or other players millions of dollars in instants (and for a fraction of Shark Cards prices).

It looks like they cant gain control back of their own game.

I've seen it in action with an expensive sony camera.

 

Sadly after encoding it was always less smooth.

 

and also, playing back recorded game footage will always be smoother than when you were playing, providing no frames were dropped in recording
