Always the people that don’t have one and no idea what it is really like to play GTAO on it. 
 

I never see 3/4 of the stuff people post about here. Have been playing again since the update dropped and have had a total of ONE menu user try to mess with me. Yup the game is just filled with hackers that won’t let me do anything. Shut it down.

The flag is probably hashed since Rockstar is aware of us dataminers. For all we know, this could either be anti-cheat related or a new feature planned for the December update.

If you take a Turismo Classic to a modshop, you will see stars (indicating there are newly unlocked upgrades available) next to the Brakes and Transmission options. But if you click on those, there aren't any new upgrades visible. I'm guessing those are for the HSW options?

I wouldn't be so sure. That happens on a lot of cars that don't have a HSW upgrade. I mean at least I always see those on cars that I have not used in a long time and there are only a handful of HSW cars.

Could it be that perhaps they added the flag in order to catch players trying to modify these stats?

Turns out that flag is linked to UNLOCK_AGGREGATE metric.

 

Rockstar's analytics software receives and aggregates the data to display the max, min, sum, average ...etc of the raw metric values over various time granularities (hourly, daily, weekly ...etc).

 

I can only make educated guesses without having any hints as to what this metric is for. Could be AC related or for monitoring the activities of the community to assist within the decision-making behind regular or GTA+ events.

They do ban them. And Rockstar do track a crazy ton of metrics. Whenever you drive a vehicle, acquire a wanted level, check an in-game website, when you die, or use voice chat, or holding up a store or ranking up ...etc.

 

But metrics don't necessarily mean you're a cheater. Some metrics are triggered by integrity checks. Which are specifically for detecting cheaters. There's a lot of integrity checks placed at various parts of the source code. However, Rockstar doesn't act very aggressively to ensure no false positive bans occur.

 

There's signature scanning as well where the game scans the memory for sections of malicious code being executed thus reporting the player instantly. Like Valve Anti-Cheat. A ban is guaranteed via this method. However, cheaters became aware recently and a tool disabling these scans was publicly released.

 

Additionally, there are R* anti-cheat staff who join obvious cheaters sessions based on flagged metrics. There's a list of them out there. But cheaters can recognize them since their mod menus display the ISP and those staff use Take-Two's VPN. Paid mod menus have adapted enough to instantly dip once one of the staff joins their session.

 

Despite all of this, the cheaters run rampant within the game. So Rockstar needs to either act aggressively or come up with a new way like utilizing legit players to fact-check cheaters and report them.

Then they should just act more aggressively. And they also should focus on the rid nonsense. That i have to switch back and forth between my accounts every week is annoying enough. Can´t imagine people getting annoyed by cheaters without that luxury. Pretty much making the acc useless for them at that point.

This may be an over simplification but if a user has say, five hundred million from "Cars Sold" for example and yet a few million earned in total from other avenues then they are obviously cheating and should be banned.

Sure i guess lets ban all the "cheaters" who just use mods to make money while we ignore all the modders slapping people in cages and teleporting everyone in the lobby to a house in the middle of the desert. Why would i want to invest so much time into this game making money legit when the second i step foot in a public lobby im blasted by a looped explosion effect or my car magically gets sent into outer space

This whole "banning people because of their stats" is a really bad idea. The stats on social club are a complete mess, especially the money.

Technicly I'd have spend more than I earned. I unwillingly recieved roughly 30 Million after doing and winning an impromptu race back in 2015/2016. I reported it, R* never bothered to remove it. In fact the support guy basicly told me they wouldnt do anything and I could keep it as long as I didnt cheat. There were the days of unwanted moneydrops that add up to around 300k (always left as quickly as possible).

After smugglers run R* took about 8 legit Million from me (the cash from the double I/E event).

So my discrepancy should be at about 22 Million right?

Yeah its at 50 Million. And its growing.

Why? Simple. Because all the Bonus cash you get from events (like the 300k the winning sugar water tean will recieve) the cash provided by R* support for lost items and some other sh*t dont show up as earned.

 

You cant even ban them according to playtime and character level.

Why? Because some a$$hole scriptkid can drop the action figures on you thus giving you RP.

Player could have left the game running over night walking in circles in invite only and the scriptkid joins through the powers of his menu, dropt the action figures on the player all the way up to level 8k.

 

Before they start agressivly banning people they' ed have to stuff all the holes and basicly review every single account.

 

Tldr:

Its doubtfull that this stuff is anti cheat related, atleast not in the capacity that they will use it in this version of online. Maybe as a test for the next one, to see how well they can track stats for an anti cheat system, but I doubt that aswell.

Seems more marketing related to me, or even something completly diffrent (updated social club system).

Could it be possible that they will abandon the old gen once they release the E&E for PC? People were wondering when they would abandon the old gen. This december update might be a good time do all this. My question however: Is the E&E stuff in the game files for PC? By this I mean can they just enable all the E&E stuff just like a tuneable or is PC currently on the same page as the older gens (just some code and thats it)?

Nah there is no CESP in "E&E", because the Career Builder replaces it. The issue with one of the bonus weeks was for people who had bought the CESP on PC, Xbox One or PS4 which got them one of the Luxury Autos cars for nearly free.

It is, but files are empty (added as placeholders) + there are some lines for HSW cars handling, etc.

The Winter DLC would be an ideal opportunity for R* to add content from E&E for PC, with the last generation PS4 and Xbox One having a lot of optimization and lag spikes issues after The Criminal Enterprises DLC from same way they did after and Ill-Gotten Gains Part 2 on PS3 and Xbox 360 to force gamers to migrate to the PS4 and Xbox One generation in 2014 and in 2015 for PC.

First time I'm hearing about cheaters knowing the IP's of Take Two staff. That's just insane. You would think staff could just mask their network info though.

 

Dedicated servers are sorely needed going forward, it's not a full proof solution but it would stop a lot of nonsense and give back control to the developers in a meaningful way.

To touch on that CESP and Career Builder thing again: Do you use the career builder ONLY if you start over again or do you get the things that is given by the career builder on top of the things I already have. So say I have 5 cars. Can I use the career builder to get myself 1 more car to have 6 cars in total or do I get that 1 car only if I start over again so I have only 1 car in total? Because if you get the benefits of the career builder on top of the things you get in CESP then it makes no sense to remove CESP since its basically a starter pack.

I thought I read somewhere on here about when Rockstar is ending PS4 and XBONE support/updates. There was a theory that when this happens, PC will then get E&E content. Isn't that at the end of the year? Was the most recent DLC the finale for last gen consoles?

Considering the fact past gen consoles can't handle the game properly, perhaps.
