There aren't enough Jamaicans in GTA games and they're underrrated overall. Their dialect and accent is cool and very slightly kinda "funny"-ish.

-R*/Take Two have no idea what they’re doing atm besides making a quick buck (Aka the treatment of the trilogy, milking GTA V’s nipples etc).

-The lack of Dan Houser as head writer will affect GTA VI.

-Vice City CAN work outside of the 1980s.

 

-The flying rats in GTA IV are the worst collectibles in the series.

 

-Trevor is the proto-hipster.

The lack of interiors in GTA V is one of the worst things about the game itself and its map, and adding them would definitely improve the game by a lot.

I remember people periodically posting VCS > VC in the unpopular opinions thread so i thought why not post the opposite in popular opinions then it's true too! 

 

Speaking of Vice City, GTA VI should be set in Vice City.

They did Johnny dirty in GTA V.

 

Also I find it really hard to believe that the East Coast chapter of the Lost was as powerful as it was in V, with meth head Johnny as the leader, let alone being able to successfully migrate over to the West Coast, with the civil war and narco surveillance happening in TLAD.

I don't understand why they decided to have The Lost in San Andreas. AOD will be more suitable because their real-life equivalent, the Hells Angels, is founded in California.

• The drug dealing feature from CTW should be implemented in a mainline entry.
• The DE is gutter trash and R*/T2 should make sure to keep GSG far away from their games in the future.
  • R* and T2 have gone way too far with their scummy anti-modding stance.
• The swing set glitch is insanely addicting to mess around with.

The DE Edition could've been a masterpiece tbh, but I hate how Rockstar rushed GSG, an already inexperienced company, into making it faster so it could be released faster. They didn't even get a chance to fully make sure the game was bug less, either. Another funny thing is that GSG only had around 30 people working on DE Edition.

The Definitive Edition should've been a staggered release IMO. GTA III should've come first for its 20th anniversary, then Vice City for this year and finally San Andreas in 2024. While it's been an undeniable disaster for many reasons I don't think GSG are all to blame. They were tasked with remastering three already dated games with aging mechanics and porting them over to a new engine and expected to hit a deadline that was clearly intended to reach end of year sales figures. 

 

The least that could've been done is to let them focus on one game at a time. Maybe they might not have been entirely perfect, but it surely would've mitigated the common issues all three games exhibit. At the end of the day I don't see the point of bashing GSG since they obviously had little say and didn't receive much support for their efforts. This is all on R*/Take Two (Mostly Take Two) and it proves they couldn't give the slightest f*ck about their legacy titles as long as they rake in the dough and they did. I was one of the suckers and I'll own up to it. Lesson learned.

• GTA Online ruined Rockstar Games' reputation overtime especially on PC where there's little to no anti-cheat and security to protect players from modders, but wouldn't hesitate patching strats and glitches that'd increase the amount of money earned per hour
   
• Continuing on the first point, GTA V deserves to get story DLC but GTA Online stopped that from happening
   
• They shouldn't have delisted the original trilogy from digital storefronts on PC, but instead bundled it with The Trilogy like what happened to the BioShock series when their remastered versions released back in 2016
   
• Rockstar Games Launcher is a terrible launcher like all other launchers out there (I just want to launch my games from just one platform)

GTA V's music selection doesn't feel like the early 2010's. I mean, there is no EDM, no dubstep, not enough electro pop, heck, even some emo would've helped, as it still was kinda around back then. The only radio station that I can think of that feels period defining is Radio Los Santos with its Contemporary Hip-Hop and Cloud Rap, some people may argue that it applies for Radio Mirror Park as well, but I would say that one is more of its own thing.

Given Strauss Zelnick's contract extension up to 2029, NFTs are certainly coming to GTA someday in the near future and they're gonna ruin the franchise 10 times more than how much messed up it currently is.

 

But I'm all set for what lies ahead, I'm mentally prepared and have fully stopped being an R* fan.

Anyway...

• GTA Online sucks and ruined GTA V.
• SA is the most diverse game in the series.
• Both Vice City games' soundtracks take a huge feeling to them.
• III's gang hostility is exceedingly unfair, you don't have a safe place in that game anymore after you finish everything.

The lack of criminal side content is the biggest flaw of GTA V, and the inclusion of it would've been its open world experience much, much better, even with the core gameplay issues.
