The Kwon Posted May 1 Share Posted May 1 Title damn near says it all, but here's some more details: As Franklin, I've been trying to do the street race in Vinewood (I've done the other one already), and every time I go to start it my game crashes. It's been about 5 attempts now. I lowered my graphics and it started crashing on start-up. I reinstalled the Game (and lost it), and it kept crashing on start-up. Turns out I had a driver to update, so I did that, and everything loaded up no problems. Went to try the race again, and whammy, crashed again. A very abrupt and instantaneous shut down as soon as the game tries to go into the race menu and the money disappears from my account. Has this happened to anyone else? Since then I've been looking for help in mostly German forums, but haven't found any yet. Also write with the R* support, wait and see if something helpful comes out. I'll put a video in, does the crash look like this for you too? Youtube And just for my curiosity, could you look in your launcher.log file what the error/exit code is? The file is in: YourPC/Documents/Rockstar Games/Launcher My error code is: "Exit code 0xc0000005 indicates a fatal game exit (reason: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION)" Which PC hardware did you install? Maybe we have similar components. Until then we will have to be patient.... Edit: R* also closed the support ticket for me. They wrote that the problem is known and they are working on it. Inventlo Posted May 6 Share Posted May 6 Hi the same thing happens for me! I go to a street race and when I press "e" to enter it instantly crashes. The only weird thing is that I was able to do two other races before this started happening. Did this happen to you guys as well? Will be creating a ticket to R* Support to help get this fixed. NeonAvenger Posted May 9 Share Posted May 9 Same issue here, it didn't start until after the update. I was able to fix it for a bit by changing the resolution/going fullscreen, but it crashes every time I try to enter the race at the airport. No warning or error message, just instant crash to the desktop as in LiKeR_1's video. I even tried lowering the graphics in case it was on my end, but nothing worked. The main thing is that the online part is running. You can't make money with the story part, of course by R* point of view. Therefore this bug has no priority. Severe666 Posted June 11 Share Posted June 11 Many people are facing this particular issue. My findings are based on offline mode. The crash started suddenly but one thing that I observed is that the crash has to do with any sorts of graphics mod being applied with OpenIV 4.0.1. In my case, the game runs smoothly without any sorts of mods, though yet I haven't tested any car replacement mods without using graphics mods. Fact is, I used to apply many mods and the game used to run without any complications until OpenIV 4.0.1 came out and I've added some add on cars. Since then I tried each and every possible way to solve the crash problem but it's still there. I hope the developers will find a solution for it as soon as possible. All we can do it to file as many tickets as possible to let them know that GTAV lovers are getting crazy about it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
