Guyle7
I posted this in a previous thread but here is a working solution for those of you who own the game on Steam. 1) Copy and paste the following URL into your browser: steam://nav/console 2) Allow it to launch Steam. This will open the Steam console window 3) In the text box at the bottom of the Steam Console window, paste the following: download_depot 1174180 1174184 5805888981794472260 4)A few messages will appear in the console window--this will take potentially several minutes. Wait until you see the message "Depot download complete :" 5)Once the depot download finishes, navigate to the following directory on your PC: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_1174180\depot_1174184 a) For those of you who may have installed Steam on a different drive or location, find the root of your Steam installation and continue through the directories from there 6) Copy all of the content from the above directory and paste it into the root of your RDR2 installation folder; allow it to overwrite anything it asks. 7) Launch RDR2 from the RDR2.exe executable in the installation folder Enjoy! subvod
I swear to God, even having disabled automatic and background updates within RGL, as soon as I start the game it begins updating automatically. I've already been forced to download an offline crack when Rockstar shut down everything when their trash fire of a remaster fell off a cliff at launch. Now I can't even disable automatic updates even having ticked the box since I bought GTA V in 2021. Further up, genius work on figuring out how to download individual packages with Steam. Guess I should have backed up the 80 gigs worth of game data before updating RDO stuff which story mode players like myself have nothing to do with. Gotta do twice the work to get half as much. -_- As for alternatives, after tinkering around I think LML breaks it as well.
