Mishandled Minor Characters

Some examples, the Annesburg scientist MacIntosh, who comes of like a real man of science who knows what he's talking about and is righfully worried about the world being destroyed by humans. During his first encounter he mentions how the nature is doomed etc. which is remarkable for that time period but once you take his book and meet him again he rambles about baboons being responsible for the fall of Rome? Way to ruin it.

Or how about the St. Denis woman who are petitioning for women voting, she comes of as a progressive person, working for equality but once you talk to her again she goes "we will elect a woman president of course" like it was the ulterior motive all along, putting woman above the "foolish men".

 

I don't know why R* messes up minor characters with potential like this, it's not as bad as in GTA V - not everyone is an annoying, crazy person - it's no big deal, but it still seems weird to me.
