Do you have time to help someone with my problem?

I know this is crazy and have lived under a rock but I am not a gamer and just decided to get a series x. I got gta5 which came with online. I was instantly amazed and hooked. Problem is I am not a gamer mainly for a simple reason which is personal and embarrassing.  I know this is going to get me lit up with hate and I accept that just hoping maybe ill get lucky with even just one person who is nice enough to help me. So I struggled all my life in school multiple learning disabilities special ed etc. Not going to get into that all its already TMI and I apologize but basically my IQ is 3 points shy of being clinically deemed Mentally R*tarded. To sum up my issue and what this has to do with this game and why I am here for help is.................Two things happen when I'm trying to learn something in this case for example watching YouTube tutorials or reading in forums help sections either it just goes in and out as in I don't remember anything I just read or watched, or its to much information and it just comes in as white noise. Its really hard to explain and I know I sound like a dam cry baby. I do understand and I have seen this game is hard for all newcomers but for me I'm just completely confused on a few things so I'm hoping someone here is nice enough to help me through this because I cant explain how bad I truly want to get into this game  So when I started the game I was given 4 million I believe and I think I saw this is a new things they started doing to make the game easier.  I forgot the startup that I picked there was 4 options and I picked the first one on the left I believe it was a CEO or something. I got my office with a built in 10 car garage and one small storage facility and a car that's it. So that's believe it or not where I lost all my money. I lost my money because the game is so chaotic and so hectic I cant understand what to do and or when or how to find jobs? So I kept buying crates because the assistant said buy and sell crates but every single time I did this either the cops took them or someone else took them. so I have lost all my cash from failing to buy and sell crates. I have literally watched all these YouTube guides on getting rich in one day or how to get rich etc etc and they require money to do so for example one video said to buy the clubhouse set up the C*ke business but this costs millions to do. On top of all that I am constantly being murdered by online players who literally just wait for me to respawn and blow me up again and again literally 10 times over so here is where am at and asking for help where do I go from here.................

 

I have zero dollars, I keep starting the game in some garage car show and idk what I'm suppose to do there, I cant seem to sell crates and I cant figure out how to sign up for jobs and or do jobs and I don't have friends who play this game  So where do I go from here Do I try resetting and starting over did I chose the wrong thing to start with? Is there anybody who can help me get my feet on the ground? Is it normal to always be blown up 10s of times daily by online members? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I truly understand you have all probably struggled at first I have read enough to know its not easy and I know I sound like a BIG CRY BABY And I have said some things about myself that open me up to getting DESTROYED in replies I understand and accept that hoping there is at least one good person out there to help. I apologize I know this game has been out for years and this is all common knowledge but I really have tried so hard on my own and forums and YouTube aren't helping me so I have to try talking to at least one person here in hopes of getting this under me

You could try to play in a public solo session, using MTU method or whatever, just google it. This way you could play completly alone, nobody would attack you.

 

And the thing with the crates is, as long as your a CEO while doing no missions or anything, your warehouses can get raided by the cops. You can workaround that by resigning as CEO after you deliver crates to your warehouse, and just become CEO again if you are in front of the computer in your office. This way your warehouse never gets raided, if you don't forget to resign.

 

And yeah it's true, you need money to be able to earn money. You should maybe start saving money for an Agency or a Kosatka (submarine) to earn money.

 

Inform yourself here in the forums about the best ways to earn money fast.

You do not sound (write) retarded at all.

 

GTAO is a battlefield and the playerbase is toxic to a large degree, at the point you can afford everything the game becomes boring unless you enjoy bully new players as you have might have been bullied at the start, R* obviously wants it that way and the game is designed to be addictive in my opinion.

 

My advise, play the campaign at least two times, it is great for the first times. Then maybe play GTAO but avoid freeroam and do not try to get rich. Play missions, heists, maybe find friends. Try the editor to testdrive expensive vehicles or start races on your own, most of the military vehicles have no use unless you have friends. Being rich in GTAO is much less exciting at this stage of the game as you might believe.

The Cayo Perico Heist made all money guides obsolete. It can be done alone, in invite-only sessions, and makes the most amount of money. What you need is the Kosatka submarine. Unfortunately you already spent your money, so it will take a while until you can afford it. Since you own an office, you can do VIP work like Sightseer or Headhunter in invite-only sessions. You can also get one-time payments of $250k each for completing the challenges associated with the Double-Action Revolver, Navy Revolver, and Stone Hatchet. There are youtube videos explaining how to do these.

Do you like playing with other people online gaming? Or do you like to play against them as competition? If you can answer that I might be able to help.

 

Since you just started and have some sort of handicap you are going to have to make money slowly.. Basically 20k per mission. Load into Single Player first and then Online >Invite Only Session. Register as a CEO and play some missions like Headhunter or Sightseer. If this doesn't work for you then bring up your cell find a find a random job to join. I do this all day...

 

CEO crates are more risk than reward and is more so for raising your rank than your bank account. Very risky business and not for the faint of heart.

 

All the MC businesses are just a few hours of gameplay to break even. Dont do this.. To be profitable you have to play the same sh*t over and over for like 10-100 hours before you make anything and its just dumb at that point. If you buy any/all MC businesses dont even upgrade them! You'll get a Nightclub in the future if you play your cards right

 

Anyway... Plug in a microphone and make some friends. Also.. Maybe just play single player for a while.. Online is how you say.  "A son of a bitch" and on drugs

As others stated above keep to invite only lobbies until you get the hang of the game,  learn the game mechanics and tricks.  Just starting out it’s the little things that will begin to get you above water financially “there’s plenty of guides here on the forums and elsewhere” that explain how to get started.  Best advice I can give is have fun and don’t just stick with 1 thing, mix it up and don’t make a job of playing this game.  Try some contact missions then do ceo/vip activities, sell cars off the street to cover expenses and don’t let your eyes get too big as not everything needs to be done in your first weeks playing.  There’s a lot of players that forget we’ve been playing for years and have slowly acquired everything and as a day 1 player it’s taken years to get where I’m at.  Also pay attention to the weekly bonuses for what’s x2 or even x3$$$.

First off thank you to everybody for responding. Was expecting to get mauled for everything I said. I have gone and messed it up even worse I was dumb enough to think I could fix this by resetting the game and deleting and getting a new social club and that was a huge mistake my cars are now gone and my office with 10 car garage is gone. And it keeps bringing me to that dam underground car show when I turn it on. I see all your suggestions and that's exactly what I mean by I watch videos and see forum posts I cant figure out how to do the things you suggest? I go in my phone look at texts and emails but they don't say how to do the suggested things. The only thing I think I figured out is how to get into solo. I think I'm just an idiot. Taterman that's such a amazing offer I think that's enhanced version? I feel like that's what I have it was the new release that came out last Tuesday I went and picked up. I would say does giving my game info help at all but I'm assuming its probably not only against the rules its probably dangerous for all i know now a days to do? game is chaotic for all new players, and especially for new 'non-gamer' players

also if you have bit of problem to remember right advice about game - it is not a shame to pull out pan & paper and write down some notes 

 

... and CEO was good choice - you can setup full-on biz and you will have 1 mil.$ on your account in game when you start your game for real, and you can make another full 1 mil.$ for free in game doing few (more or less) simple things while driving/flying around looking for Treasure, serial killer and getting bounties - and enabling '2-Step Verification' on your Rockstar Social Club (website) will give you 500k. All of this you can do solo in 'invite only' session, and you can buy Kasatka submarine in no time (I'm on PC but I did all of that recently in a day or two on my new account).

You can do crates in one-by-one system for faster character RP leveling, and that is in public lobby.

@lazerline19  Here's a few tips for new players - particularly new players starting now, after years of new stuff added to the game:

 

1. While you're still learning the basics of the game, try playing in an Invite Only session for the most part, instead of a public session with hostile players - it's like playing the game solo. You can't do public activities like selling CEO cargo (you need to go into a public session to do that), but for simple stuff you want to do on your own, like painting your car or buying clothes, it's just easier than getting killed all the time.

 

2. Learn the ropes by doing Contact Missions to start with. The current tutorial doesn't tell you this, but you need to keep playing (do races, do any odd job, etc. to get RP to rank up) to unlock some new missions and features. Check under the in-game menu, go to "Online", then "Jobs", then "Rockstar Created", then "Missions" - once you get to Rank 5-10, you should have some good options, like Where Credit's Due, Meth'd Up, Gentry Does It, and Rockford Roll. They're particularly good, because you can do them without other players - perfect for getting used to how missions work.

 

3. Another quick and easy way to make money, and get familiar with the layout of the game world, is to do Sightseer under the SecuroServ tab in the Interaction Menu - it mainly involves cracking codes and finding packages all across the map. You can do it solo in an Invite Only session, so it's a really good starter activity - and it'll help you rank up and unlock more missions.

the help was less than 24 hours notice which i appreciate but I had something to do that night lol I need any help I can get plus Taterman said I need a headset which I need to go buy unless it can be played without one then we can get on this right now. Also wtf is E&E I said I bought the new release version from my understanding is the enhanced version for the series x The game case is gold and had 2 discs if that helps? Would screen shots help?

First of all thank you, Everything you just said helps a lot Yea Not only am I new to the game i am basically new to Xbox in general actually to any game system last time i had a game was Nintendo I'm probably to old for most people in here to know what that is i used Xbox one during covid and played only NFS Heat that's it no online no friends just that. never got into the system or anything and sold it to GameStop when things opened back up. Now fast forward we were at target and they had the series x so we said lets give it a try so I bought heat and GTA V. I am uploading a pic of the game I have hopefully that helps and if its E&E why cant anyone help me? Also you are right I don't have PM option yet but being honest that's not why I didn't sign on last night it was personal stuff i had going on so ill just purposely post a bunch in here if that wont offend anyone to hit my 20 mark. And anyone can have my gamer tag I think I know what it is I don't really care unless there's a reason not to give it out? I wish I knew why my map was bank and why the only thing on it to do is the HAO mission which I thought I would DESTROY considering the only other game I play is NFS but that HAO mission is a joke beating his time is like trying to funnier than Chris Farley.

Yeah, when I was still playing GTA I'd take new players through a couple of heists with 85% cut so they can afford a Kosatka. It's really all you need nowadays. But I got neither a console nor E&E else I would have offered OP to do the same.

OK so I didn't want to waste forum space and create another thread so I'm going to list a few things I'm still confused about that searching the forums and YouTube videos haven't really given me the specific answers for so I'm hoping some of you vets can help me understand

 

 

1. Griefers....Yes discussed to no end but what I don't understand is the fundamental reason of why? Yes I should not have bought a shark card but I did once twice to survive and continue to make shipments I don't regret it because it got me on my feet when I was literally about to give up on the dam game which was around the time we realized Taterman couldn't help me so I was Desperate. So back to the question I'm trying to wrap my head around why? I literally don't understand it we all play and have goals missions businesses things to do so why ruin that. To be clear I'm not referring to the ones where its a game mission to do it I am referring to the sick individuals who literally stalk you out and just continue to blow you up I cannot tell you how many times this happens when I'm trying to deliver my last batch of weapons of coke and its continued over and over I had one guy 17 times before I left the session loosing some of the delivery product. So my question is other than the obvious have friends pray for a miracle player which I was lucky enough once to experience and playing in free aim is there anything else I can do to avoid that Sh*t?

 

b. How the H*ll do players just change cars in the blink of an eye? I'll elaborate here So I was failing all my deliveries as usual because free aim and merryweather is a fantastic combination for a newb. Clearly this player saw my name light up his screen like the 4th of July so in comes this dam jet lighting these pricks up like it was nothing he did what I couldn't do in 5 minutes he did in less than 10 seconds. Then another scenario I had to do deliveries for nightclub, meth, coke, weapons and this other player who is the only reason i succeeded in them not only followed me but did this by specifically changing his vehicles in the blink of an eyes right in front of me during the deliveries Then on  my last one a nightclub delivery I had to drive to the beach and pick up the truck a drove with a cargobob I couldn't do it i struggled as he watched and out of nowhere BOOM his ca was now a cargobob and he finished the delivery for me with me showing him where the drop off was. So I realize how unbelievable lucky I was but my question is HOW THE H*ELL DID HE DO THAT AND HOW DID HE DO IT SO INSTANTANIOUSLEY? Is that normal for vets or is his game moded? I am asking because If I had this ability I would be doing the same thing I would turn my game on just to help people because I have been on the brink of 0 dollars so many times.

 

3. Most youtubers I watch who are well known for the gta online videos pretty much are all in line with......Don't bother doing mc document forgery and or weed farm do you all concur yes or no and why? I ask because if I get far enough in the game and seasoned wouldn't I want to do EVERYTHING LOL?

 

d. Where the H*ll do these players get these insane cars from? The Griefers and the couple of people who helped me both had something in common, They both has the craziest weapon loaded cars I've ever seen I'm still confused where that came from is it weapon research from the bunker or just purchased from Warstock Cache? Or maybe both?

 

5. Is this all because I'm a newb? So I have reached level 38 and the following is what I still struggle with my question is will this change get better or is this because I'm not a natural gamer at heart? Even with way to many hours of play at level 38 I still suck at the following.......Shooting even assisted which I don't do anymore because of griefers, And in free aim FORGETABOUTIT my Kill death rate is hilarious.  Deliveries not sure where the game gets percentages from but I can assure you I'm looking at around 30-40% success rate even though the game seems to think I'm around 67% and that's with me restarting merry weather missions I don't even bother with those anymore in free aim. Learning the map still dont understand it or its locations does this take a long time or do most players have a understanding of it quickly before they reach my level of 38. I ask that one because I had a poor b*stard have me do deliveries with him and I almost ruined his mission luckily i made it through but it very extremely clear right from the start this player and 2 of the 4 drivers he hired also knew every corner to cut every faster way every hideaway or shortcut to take for every delivery and here I am following the yellow guide coming in dead last after also dying multiple times right before he ran out of time. So will that come with time or do you think most people at this point would understand the map and areas better? For reference I have about a month and 300 hours clocked in (I know I got problems )

 

6. Simple and to the point does it ever get easier? I am literally no better at any part of this game than I was on day 1 probably hard to believe but the struggle is sooooo REAL. Did any of you have these same questions or concerns when you were new? is this normal and will it get better? This game absolutely fascinates me in 38 years The only other games I have ever played are NFS Heat (which GTA makes HEAT 5 chases as simple as breathing) and Yes go ahead DESTROY ME FOR THIS........... Covid Lockdown ACNH sorry it happened it I was pretty addicted. But this game the depth the online play ugh just everything it has me addicted to a very concerning level which is what brought me here to ask all these questions. Again I know these are simple questions I just needed more specific answers than YouTube gives and I wanted to know and see how other players felt and experienced when they were new like me. I hope this post is not offensive in anyway also I apologize for punctuation. I really appreciate any experience opinions and or answers to my specific questions and sorry for this CRAZY LONG RANT.

Other players in the session will get a small reward for destroying your deliveries - it's not much but it's something and they do it because it will bother you and..because they can. 

I myself play in solo sessions mainly for this reason.

Yes, most likely. Low level players are very easy to pick off and it increases their own K/D ratio. 

 

I'm on PS5 myself so can't help you out but my advice is to not give up, keep going with it and you'll eventually get the hang of it. The community here is always helpful and definitely invest in a headset ASAP for easier communications.
