GTA SA Corrupted save game file

Hi, I bought a new computer to which I downloaded gta sa (steam) and I downgraded sa to 1.0 version, unfortunately my latest save doesn't work, trying to load it the game crashes

Older save where I have 80% progress is already working normally, is there anyone able to help me? I think I've tried everything
I reinstalled the game, changed versions of the game and save, editing somthing in the savegame editor, looked for fixes on forums and on the Internet but nothing helped, would someone help to fix it? I really want this save working, because I ended the game myself, and I spent a lot of time on it

Edit: Yeah.. i'm having the same problem and tried something but nothing worked..I think your file needs an expert editing   

 

By the way.. what is going on with people's save file? This is the fourth complaint about this situation...

Thank you, I am grateful for trying to help. I will also add, I had a mod installed on the old pc that the peds have in their hands plastic bags, newspapers, etc. but after removing this mod, save worked normally, only the model of the plastic bag was permanently bugged into doherty

i also tried converting save to 2.0 and 1.01

You have just mentioned about what causing the problem.. i think this became a mess when you progressed

I have also tried to solve the problem, but I also had no success. I converted the savegame in different versions like you and changed a few things (made the garage empty and things like that) to check if it runs afterwards, but no chance. 

 

I also checked the checksum with GTASum. But this was correct.

 

As @ArmanCan already suspects it could be that you have broken the savegame with the mod.

Well, I will use save game editor to copy the data, to recreate that corrupted save, it seems fair to me, or I'll play the game all over again because refilling the old save doesn't work great xd

In Your Game Cleo Folder !!

Hey bro, I don't know if you still need it, but I managed to fix your save file. The mod you mentioned there is exactly this one. Those bags that stayed in your save game are objects placed in the map by the mod's ipl. The issue here is that, even though it looks more "realistic", the mod is very buggy, as the object's spawn and destroyment times and draw distance are misconfigured. The objects that the mod adds usually disappear if you get away, causing no problem. But if one of those objects stays floating in the air near an outer save point like:

• Angel Pine Save Point
• Catalina's Hideout
• Doherty Garage
• Mike Toreno's Ranch
• The Four Dragons Casino

They won't disappear, they will permanently keep inside the code of your save game. If you take off the mod and try to load this save file, the game will not find the ipl that places those floating objects, resulting in a crash.

 

There were 3 floating bags around the map that were causing the crash:

Fortunately I found 2 possible solutions, the first one is Delete Map Objects, in which you have to physically go inside the game and delete the objects with certain commands (you need to install the Real Peds Overhaul mod again in order to load the save properly).

And the second one, that is GTA SA Save Game Editor by Ryosuke839, there's a section in the menu that lets you delete objects on a map interface (the fastest option).

 

For the sake of a clean-compatible save game, PLEASE DO NOT install this or any similar mod without reading the comments or testing it for some time first (this applies to any mod actually). I highly suggest you to have dependable backup saves.

Wow you are amazing thank you so much! unfortunately I just loaded an older save some time later, and did all missions, etc. again. But still thank you so much! The post can stay as a warning to other people to be careful with mods
