RDR Xbox One GOTY edition content - Hardcore Mode, Solomon's Folly, Walton's Gang Outfit

The digital version of Red Dead Redemption on the Xbox One store does not include Hardcore Mode, Solomon's Folly, and the Walton's Gang Outfit. From what I understand, this is content that was previously exclusive to the PS3 version but made available to the Xbox GOTY edition. From online research I've seen people say that you need a "physical copy" of the GOTY edition to play this content - but if I understand Xbox backwards compatibility right I'm assuming that if you insert the 360 disc you'll just be allowed to download the digital version to emulate. 

Is there any way to play this content on newer hardware or is it strictly limited to the Xbox 360/PS3?

Curious about this too. Is there anyway to get all the content for Xbox One X and (if it’s the original version of the game) still get the 4K resolution upscale (not sure how that’s done - is it by patch or does it come with new game purchases only?

I bought the XBox 360 dual disk Game of the Year edition of Red Dead Redemption, €15 used, for my Xbox Series X. It does a disk check and downloads the game.

 

Can confirm it gets you everything;  Hardcore Mode, Solomon's Folly, Walton Gang outfit, Golden Guns, and Undead Nightmare; all in glorious 4k, rock solid 30fps with super fast load times.

 

It's no RDR2, but it does look and feel like a modern game on the Xbox Series X. You're essentially getting a remaster for free.

Sadly there isn't, it'd be great if they upgraded all versions to the GOTY edition since the remake isn't coming out anytime soon.

That's weird. The digital GOTY edition does technically exist since the MS store downloads it, but it's simply not available for purchase for whatever the reason...
