Am I the only one who prefers to play in 4:3 at high resolution ,instead of wide screen?

It seems like this game was designed to be played at 4:3 mostly on the PS2, and when the PC port came out it lacks a 'proper' wide-screen option and the only way to play in wide screen is with a mod - which crashes my game, so I thought it's not too nescessary to mess around with - which is why I prefer to set the game to a 4:3 resolution and play it the original way

Does anyone else like to do that? to me it's the proper way to play all GTA 3 ERA games, but I was just wondering if anyone else does what I do

I recently got a 1600x1200 display - just to play the games in High resolution but mantain the 'non-widescreen' aspect of it

I play the old games that don't really support 16:9 in 4:3 like you do. I mostly use 1024x768 resolution with antialiasing or 1280x960 on the PC. In my Radeon driver I set it to keep the aspect ratio so that the image is not stretched on the screen.

I agree with you. Widescreen makes everything look too small, idk.
