Media key stopped working

Whenever I play my GTA V, my media key for my spotify/youtube stops working. I set the play/pause button to F8 while skipping back and forth to F11 and F12 respectively. However, when I alt+tab out of the game, the functions for my spotify works again. I tried to redownload GTA V and my media key work for that one time. When relaunch the game, the media key stop working again. This only occurs to GTA V for me, as I have tried other steam games and there was no issue at all. I managed to found a similar issue online and it says that GTA V often hijacks our keyboard causing the media keys to stop working. I'm wondering if anyone also has this issue and has any solution to this?
