How do I completely add in a new tank(not replace the rhino)? I have the free ids generator thing and have already added vehicles like aircraft in the past. I added a howitzer in and the model showed up and worked normally. I also added in its cannon which worked normally but the problem is I can't rotate the turret.. it just sits static facing forward... How do i make it move....

Can you try it out? also check out the cs script... I replaced Rhino in there with ARTY as the vehicle.

The vehicle added has its id ARTY.

Can anyone help out with this? I tried a few more stuff but I still can't make the turret rotate...Is this even possible?

You need to:

  1. Install fastman92 Limit Adjuster from here.
  2. Open "root/data/model_special_features.dat".
  3. Add the line "modelname rhino" (without quotes) at the end.

 

Note(s):

  • "root": the game directory- where "gta_sa.exe" is located.
  • "modelname": the name of the vehicle's model (dff file), e.g. if it's "arty.dff", then replace this with "arty".

do these versions of the limit adjuster work with Improved vehicle features? I tried it and mine always showed errors with this... Is there any other replacement for model_special_features.dat?

An emergency question:- How do I activate improved vehicle features and mod_special_features.dat? it says they are incompatible... I want to add the second rhino and keep my animated spoilers etc... Is this possible?

Personally, I used ImVehFt only briefly, and never used it together with FLA, so I don't know of any incompatibilities between the two or how to solve them.

 

How to activate Model Special Features:

  1. Go to the root directory of the game- where "gta_sa.exe" is located. Open the file "fastman92limitAdjuster_GTASA.ini" with any plain-text editor.
  2. Go to the section "ADDONS".
  3. See the "Enable model special feature loader" key. First, uncomment it by removing the "#" symbol in the beginning of the line. Then enable it by setting its value to 1.

I can activate it fine... but the game never starts correctly with this version... I just ended up reverting to the 1.8 version in the end.... Aside from this hve you actually added in a tank before yourself? I just want to confirm if its possible...

also how is this tool compared to fastman's model_special_feature.dat? I'll try upping my version of imVehft and try an older version of the limit adjuster with the enable option(5.0 onward).

Yes, I have; It's certainly possible.

The vehicle special abilities editor doesn't seem to work with the models I downloaded:(

I have added in the tanks ,and they work well with Fastman's model_special_features.dat... The only problem, I had to remove improved vehicle features.... Can you try using both of them together to confirm their compatibility? If imveht has a compatibility patch or a newer version working with the limit adjuster can you post the link? If imveht is indeed incompatible as it seems, Can you tell me a way to add in animated spoilers without it- like that of the Mcalren p1? Looking forward to your reply.

I just tried with:

  1. SA Essentials Pack
  2. ImVehFt
  3. fastman92 Limit Adjuster
  4. Added Peds, Vehicles and Weapons

...sadly, it doesn't work.

But removing either ImVehFt or Added Peds, Vehicles and Weapons works.

So ImVehFt is incompatible with a certain FLA configuration. If you could find which one, I guess reverting it would work.

'removing either ImVehFt or Added Peds, Vehicles and Weapons works.' Do you mean that if you remove added peds, vehicles and weapons, This will make fastman92 limit adjuster work with imvehft? Or do you mean that both are incompatible with fastman92 limit adjuster and for the game to work, both must be removed? If it's the latter, we can confirm the incompatibility of the mods and get it over with since I am not great at modding and tracing doen the problematic element causing errors with imvehft is impossible(for me anyway.) This should be confirmed though that the FLA is the one causing problems with Improved vehicle features since modloader shows no error(when the mod is placed in it, or root directory, or scripts folder.)

Yes, FLA by default does not conflict with ImVehFt: It's one or more options of FLA that do. We just need to find them and disable them.

OK. What is your FLA configuration, i.e., have you added peds? Vehicles, weapons? Increased the DFF limit? Post your FLA log and let's look into it.

I have added 6 jets three tanks, three swatwans, two normal vehicles... but no add peds,vehicles,weapons as a stock mod.... I increased the dff limit significantly(just playing around with the setting[just in case] Maybe the dff file increase caused the crash? I'll check it out without the dff files limit increase...)

I'll post result in edit.

oh already you got what you need? if not i can do it with just cleo 

all working barrels and shooting like real game rhino which give  (wanted stars not fake)and you can add like how much models you wanna add in game i have 8 hydra 4 hunters i like them so its good to have other cars idl  and 50 weapons in game all added with just cleo and works perfect if silence gun no one run from gunshot sound but cops or peds die and give stars like 1 or 2 kills and other weapon which is not silence peds run away again i say it not fake which using another opcode to make peds run same as original game flame thrower and chainsaw to knife all added its possible and same thing for cars i just use III.VC.SA.LimitAdjuster thats it all done soon ill open workshop here mods that i make it not exist anywhere
