Moving from DVD to digital. Will Premium stuff transfer to current character?

Hey everyone ,

 

I'm on PS4. All this time I have used the physical game DVD to play. I am in the process of moving away totally from discs as I find them a PITA

 

Right now theres a PlayStation Store sale and GTA5 Premium Edition is £12.59 ($16.51), I want to get this.

My current GTA Online character has like 12mil GTA$. The Premium Edition comes with a whole lot of extra goodies including a chunk of cash (GTA$1,000,000)

 

Will all this be added to my current character or will it all get erased and I gotta start from the bottom again? I know its a dumb sounding question but I would rather ask it than find out something the hard way later.

I was able to move from a physical copy to digital on my Xbox One with no problem at all.

The character will be tied to your account - not the media format you play from.

Blue ray, DVD, what's the difference? They're both discs that are shiny on the bottom. It's not like he called it a VHS tape.

What's the difference? All three are things you can store media on and display that media when put inside the appropriate device.

Lol. There is a lot of difference between the two formats. 
 

Still, we all know what they meant.

Physically there's no difference between a DVD and a Blu-Ray disc in terms of the materials themselves.  The difference is down to the laser used to read / write it.

Same here, I had no issue going from XBox One physical to the Criminal Enterprise digital version. Got all the perks included with it too.

You'll keep everything. I moved to the digital version on the 360 AND One and everything transferred fine, same with RDR2.
