Blue coin unlock discounts (only once?) and bounty wagons come with a horse already?

So I finally got Bounty Hunter level 10 and could finally get my bounty wagon!  I assumed since the picture only showed a wagon it didn't have a horse.... so I went and bought two Brettons through the bounty unlock to use and then bought a wagon....  Brought out the wagon and a horse was pulling it!  WTF???  And that wouldn't be so bad if the unlock discount was always there until you bought it!  I unlocked the horse and saw a discount of "use one blue coin and $90," but I assumed it would be like clothing (lots of different color choices) so I backed out and drove to the stables... opened it up to see my choices?  No more discount offer (now $330 per horse)... so I bought two assuming they'd pull my wagon.... and now they're useless.  Could Rockstar not tell you on there it is a one time choice or that they're aren't multiple choices?  Literally that simple.  A small note at the bottom.  I don't know... maybe say "this wagon comes with a horse and you can only use one?"  Or how about "you can't put these horses on your wagon or this discount is a one time offer."  Ridiculous. 

 

My question is... can anybody tell me if that is always how it is?  When you unlock it for blue coins they then offer you one time to buy it at a discount with coins and cash?  No more chances again?  Also, are those two horse I bought now useless?  Do the bigger wagons later need two horses or do they also come with horses?  I'm wondering if I should get rid of the horses since they just take up stable space and I'll never use them.

I have no idea what you are talking about with the blue coins.

You spend the blue coins to unlock stuff from the role, then you still have to buy that stuff.

The blue coins serve no purpose at all because you will earn enough to get everything.

 

As far as rockstar making things clear? lol good luck they want you to screw up and spend too much.

 

Do yourself a favor and stick to storymode where the game is the best ever created.

You spend blue coins to unlock it, yes.  I spent one or two to unlock it.   And then if you click buy in catalog it showed, in this case, that I could buy the horses for 1 coin plus $90 on the spot, a discount (that I thought would stay).  I wanted to check the colors of the horses (if there was that option) so I went to the stables... there was no longer any offer for 1 coin plus $90 dollars.  They were $330 a piece for horrible horses that are useless.  I guess in the future I'll just need to go to whichever place is selling what I want to unlock to see the options first, then unlock it and buy it at a cheaper price.  I thought discounts stayed until you used it.

 

Good lookin on the tip about wagons, I'll know not to buy any horses for wagons in the future.  Online does suck compared to story mode (far too slow making money, but I guess that's how they try to get real money out of customers), but I already beat story mode, so now I'm stuck with online lol.

You're still confused on something here. The blue coins are not used to purchase horses, they are ONLY used to unlock items in each role. And discounts are only applied automatically if they are something that Rockstar has put on sale. Coupons are not automatically applied, you have to manually use them. If you paid $90 for the horse, it was for a very specific horse.

 

Why would you have assumed that wagons would not come with horses? The images are meant to get in as close to the wagons and horses would've gotten in the way. There is also only two wagons, hunting and bounty.

I could have sworn I had already unlocked the horses and saw it again.  I'll have to check the next time I do it again.  And a picture of only a wagon is misleading.... why else would they also have slow work horses?  I would assume they'd be used to work (on a wagon).  But maybe some people just like to ride slow horses that are useless?  And I think some coupons are automatically applied.... I just bought the Prestigious Bounty Hunter license and it was automatically 10 gold (my 5 gold discount coupon automatically applied.  There's also trade wagons, but it's good to know they'll function like all the other wagons.

Why would they be useless? All horses are about the same speed, then when you add in which saddle you like - there is just very little difference in the horses (same level of course).

My favorite is the roadster from moonshiner role.

Make sure you pay close attention when you are shopping, sometime you need to click and hold the right stick to get discount, or X to buy with cash, or another button to use gold. It confusing on purpose.
