But this is Rockstar isn't it? Anything they do seems to almost have a perception filter over it that either stops people seeing it or even if they do makes them barely even bothered like who you replied with that to, even going as far to label people dramatic when all they're actually doing is giving this thing the damning verdict it deserves.

Whew, glad this thread exists. My acceptance of GTA+ has already driven up my morning breakfast costs. Three Monster (buy two get one free), a breakfast sandwich, two hash browns and a bag of hot fries for later cost me $12.15. The greed of Take-Two knows no bounds. This paywall is totally going to divide the gamer food community.

Pretty sure R* is the reason it snowed here this morning too. I just know they wanted me to fall walking the couple blocks to get my food.

Since Tuner Contracts can be played as Bogdan, I'd rather do that than terro missions, Bogdanized Union Depo is 540k/25 min for me. Counting the time I alt-F4 the game and reboot it.

I can tell that you have not read my post prior to replying to it.

While most of the career builder is garbage it can indeed get you started really well if you make the right choices.

 

In the specific case I mentioned you get:

1. A property with daily passive income of around 50k per ingame day that takes 1 Mission every 3-4 hours to maintain. (The cheapest upgrade/name "omega" conviniently comes with a staff upgrade that slows the popularity drop.)

2. A regular garageslot in said property. That you can use for a personal vehicle of your choice or to keep a vehicle for sale.

3. A free speedo van that can get a turret and light armor once you got some flash money.

4. The Terrobyte that offers you some of the best paying missions.

5. Storage for bussiness battle cargo. (Increases the money you get for it. Tbh not really needed.)

6. One of the best assault rifles and if you choose the tec 9 too an automatic drive by weapon.

7. A free 1 Million aka. the most actuall ingame cash you can wrangle out of R* cold dead hands from the career builder.

 

There is no need to grind any mundane jobs.

You grab that free 1 million you keep from the creator, do the treasure hunts and are set for a Kosatka.

From that point on you can do cayo perico at your own pace.

Mix it up with some Terrorbyte missions, some CEO missions, some bussiness battles (if you are in public) and the odd popularity mission and you will be rich in no time.

Heck your first cayo perico could grab you that autoshop. Cheapest one is 1,6 Million. But I honestly would not recomend that. The autoshop missions can be pretty challenging for someone below Level 50-60 because of their characters rather low health.

Id recommend a bunker for additional passive income or maybe an agency for more active income.

 

 

Oh, and btw that "free autoshop" you mentioned is not free.

It cost you 6$.

i dont know how people can stand doing cayo perico untill this day, for the new player is ok and it should be advised to them to do it, but my god i done that thing like twice and cant do it anymore, heists are so tedious, draged out and lack replayability, the whole structure is boring.

If GTA+ backlash or success gets enough attention, R* can and probably will put even more things to make it more "valuable". surely as a excuse to chop off non-GTA+ players legs).

 

 

Considering the payout reworks for NG+ ... houses, business and vehicles will be eventually overpriced in this newer gen ??? (I'm sure).

 

If the weekly bonuses are certainly being nerfed for GTA+, what can stop R* of nerfing something like CPH for the sake of balance ? (aka to make the GTA+ bonuses worth).

 

It is indeed true that this service have a focus for low level players or collectors ... But ... start of the service and already we have a "timed-exclusive" upgraded vehicle which is the Deveste Eight HSW. It is OP/META ??? I don't f'kin care, because it is already a exploitable P2W mechanic at its finest.

 

- Vehicles or Upgraded vehicles in the service ??? - Yes.

- Newer business' best location in the service ??? - Possible.

- X2, X3 Bonuses exclusive for the service ??? - Almost Certain. (Based on what was discovered).

- Newer houses in the service ??? - Possible.

- Vehicle Skins ??? - Yes.

- Newer Weapons ??? - Possible.

- Weapon Skins ??? - Possible.

- "Exclusive" Clothes made in previous updates ??? - Yes.

- Upcoming content as timed-exclusive ??? - Yes.

- Increased dripfeed time to non-GTA+ players. - HELL YEA.

I already said ... concerning the price/benefits of the service ... the GTA+ is sadly worth (from a business perspective) ... but to make it "worth" ... the common non-GTA+ players gets two big middle fingers in the face because of the Nerfs or worse. (2 full price GTA's and one 1/4 price GTA in a spam of 8~9 years and it still not-enough).

 

The worst ... this is a setup for GTA 6 Online ... and many of us players aren't feeding a simple, small pond fish ... we are feeding the bloody Kraken. (And this one will be never satisfied it seems).

Well my post was mainly meant as a strategy for a new player anyway.

Then again, I honestly wouldnt mind doing another cayo perico even after the roundabout 200 times I did it.

I really enjoyed doing it. Only reason I stoped was that I have over 300 Million and nothing I want to/can buy.

Put on an SCP youtube video playlist and time starts flying. Next time I look at the clock its 4 am Saturday and I just finished the 5th heist of the evening.

Man, I think GTA+ is the final f*cking straw for me. I already had plenty of problems with GTA Online, too f*cking many to list them all, but I always loved the core concept of this shared online GTA, building your mostly-criminal empire, customizing yourself, your cars, your houses and businesses (well, sometimes for the last two...), taking on heists, or jumping into one of dozens of gamemodes and minigames, and being able to do all of this with friends. It never quite worked out. Long ass loading times and instability for all gamemodes made you not want to play them, in addition to the poor pay. Most of the businesses are either annoying, boring or both, same goes for most of the heists. The original heists were cool, if a little arbitrarily restrictive at times, but all heists since then have been a massive disappointment from either a concept, gameplay or story perspective. The casino heist is cool in concept, decent enough story, but sucks on a gameplay level, since it's full of classic Online aimbot enemies, bullet sponges unless you do an additional, really annoying prep and GTA Vs broken ass stealth. Cayo Perico, good in concept, story is a bit meh but alright, sucks from a gameplay perspective, same issue as casino but add repetitiveness and even more jank to the list. And Doomsday f*cking sucks on all accounts. But I digress. I put up with a lot of sh*t. Watched what started out as one of my favorite games of all time back in 2013 slowly transform into a money grubbing playground for griefers, filled with more and more repetitive, recycled content (let's be real, Bikers, Gunrunning and Nightclubs are all the same f*cking businesses spread out over 3 updates instead of anything unique). Sure, old GTA had less content, but at least all of the content it did have was good. Not unbalanced griefing machines, overpriced businesses and futuristic kids toys, with an economy as flexible as a politicians spine. Seriously, the Bati 801, still one of the best motorcycles in the game, costs like 8000$. The Shinobi cost 2480500$. Talk about f*cking inflation. And Rockstar wasn't just content with making new content sh*t, they retroactively made old content worse as well. They nerfed *all* contact missions (or is it even all gamemodes?) with a sh*tty new pay mechanic and removed or hid a bunch of them as well. I watched all of that. I played less and less. And I started removing myself from the multiplayer aspects. Invite Only or Solo Publis session. Too many griefers, too many hackers. Most gamemodes were dead, Maybe one or two deathmatch lobbies going and sometimes you can find people for races, but anything else is just dead if it isn't 2X$. GTA Online is dead to me now. It died a long time ago, I just didn't notice until now. I'll never get to see this old friend again, I'll never see what it could've become. It's just not for me anymore and really, it hasn't been for me for the past 5 or 6 years. I just didn't want to admit it.

I'm going to miss it. But I just can't play it anymore. If anybody ever recreates this concept, in FiveM or a different game altogether, give me a shout.

Since I like conspiracy theories, here's the real reason why "E&E" and GTA+ hasn't been released on PC yet:

1. R* has a commercial deal with Sony (obvious).
2. R* couldn't risk the discovery of GTA+ in the game files.
3. GTA Online is free for three months so people have money for GTA+. (GTA+ plus PS+ is 132€/year, wtf)
4. PC players can have exclusive clothes without paying (i.e. GTA+ can be bypassed on PC).

The discovery of GTA+ on March 15 in the game files would have been terrible for R*. It would have impacted the sale of E&E, and at the same time tarnished Rockstar's image just before March 31 (fourth quarter of its fiscal year 2022 ends), This impact would have been felt more and more noticeable on their beautiful charts.

Announcing this service only on March 25th limited the damage. There was also damage done when E&E and GTA Trilogy were released. Their results are certainly satisfactory but I'm willing to bet it wasn't what they expected.

I'm sure there are more games sold on PC than on console but there are more mtx sold on console. Hence the "exclusivity" of GTA+ to the console version, at the moment.

What does my money buy, aside from early access to something that I'll get a bit later anyway? Can I get a personal mod menu to protect myself from the hordes of modders that are ruining every session, can crash my game/PC, DDoS me, stalk me and whatnot? Is it much to ask?

 

I've uninstalled the game a couple of weeks ago, so there's that, as well. Why should I install it again?

While i can't beat your logic i would say the first month was bought by some youtubers just to see how it worked and if there was more than rockstar advertised. If they keep on buying it to make update videos then they can be considered hypocrites. Broughy talked about this in his latest video, if he doesn't cover gta+ information he will lose money, but he also can't stand this practice so he doesn't know where to go anymore. 

 

I find it funny that we actually have a great event week right after the release of gta+. Is like rockstar is trying to shift focus from the backlash they got and get in "good terms" with the community. And seeing how some people even here are gullible i can say for sure it will work. Three good event weeks and no one remembers gta+ ever existed, well not untill the next updtade drops and they lock content again, but at that point people are used to the idea, one or two will say something but the mass won't care.

I know, I know "Don't hate the player, hate the game" but that still does not stop them from being hypocrites. They can't sh*t all over this, call it a scummy practice and then buy it to profit off of it in the real world. What the average player does is of no concern, but these people put out videos to millions, if they can't stand by their owns words they are hypocrites.

The very same Sony who are now publishing their exclusives on PC? They aint stopping R* from releasing stuff on PC lol, the only platform they'd care about hurting would be Xbox and they can't pay R* enough for exclusivity like that anymore.

 

I think the main reason and possibly only it's not on PC is it would be even harder to justify charging for it as it was on consoles as it can't be sold as a "new" version on a new platform. I suspect E&E will come to PC later down the line as a free patch to everyone on PC once it's settled down on console. Plus, ya'know, R*'s general lack of respect that it shows towards it's PC customerbase in general with the delayed releases and whatnot.

Even with how crappy R* has been behaving lately, i simply cant deny that GTA:O gave me years of fun. Even if it has all sorts of bugs and issues, its still an amazing game/franchise. Taking that 'love for the franchise' into account, i dont know about you guys, but as a PC player, even considering how we should've gotten this for free years ago already, i would've actually happily paid them 6 bucks a month for a new version of the game that runs on dedicated servers, comes with actually effective anti-cheat & fixes some of the long standing bugs. You know, the main things that the PC version of this game has been needing for years now.

Its a shame R* doesn't seem to have the collective brainpower to come up with this idea, it would've actually felt like something worth that 6 bucks a month. On that note, not that its something i want but they missed the opportunity to make official R* powered roleplay servers, they could've easily charged 60 bucks a month(!!!) for that sh*t lmao. What a bunch of idiots.

 

Instead here we are wondering what the hell is wrong with post-2020 R* & if these recent developments means GTA6 will be utter trash like pretty much EVERYTHING else that R* has done in the last 2 years. Good job guys currently working at R*, your legacy is some serious damage to one of the biggest franchises in gaming.
