PS2 GTA 3 doesn't have font.dat file?

gta san andreas on ps2, xbox, pc has font.dat so you can adjust the spacing of fonts with it.

But GTA3 on ps2 doesn't have font.dat, so you can't adjust the font spacing.

How do I adjust the font spacing?

Font spacing in III and VC is hardcoded
