It's not even 4.99€, but 5.99€!

Meaning that even if somebody would want to subscribe to this sh*t without linking their credit card, they'd have to be spending money on 10€ cash cards instead of the usual 5€ 💀

But why mate?

I don't know what level you are OR how long you've been playing this game but imagine being a new player, seeing your favorite content creators playing with all these upgraded cars, running all their businesses, jumping in a lobby where players are flying around in jets, but not having 8hours of play time a day to grind Cayo on repeat to catch-up with players who have been playing this game for 7 years long.

Well paying a fiver a month to progressively catch-up is a decent option I think

I see what you are saying but it’s still not that hard to catch up. I’ve been playing GTA since 1998 but just started online in December 2021 … I already have enough money to buy anything I want in the game thanks to cayo mostly yes but I’ve made a good bit on weekly bonus missions … made millions when simeons missions were 3x and leveled up fairly quick (in the 170’s now)

I’m a casual gamer and didn’t buy shark cards

I think PC players will be left out. Well, it already kind of happened since E&E. I feel like all future updates will be next gen only.

I'm actually f*cking hoping they stop rolling out PC updates once and for all, and for ballstorture to nuke the f*ck out of it to the point of irrelevancy again (wishful thinking). Sick of having downtime to f*ck around with single player mods and FiveM. I haven't set up a mod folder since 2019 because of GTAO sh*t.

El Diablo 702

Ya I’ll seriously hard pass on this bullsh*t.  As a day 1 player and buying this sh*t show twice I’ll retire my character,  there’s plenty of other games out there to finally take my attention away from anything R* created.  The outlook of having to buy this a 3rd time and then have to buy a subscription to be competitive is nothing more than a simple cash grab slap in the face to anyone that has supported this company.

How many of you guys here genuinely play GTA Online?

Only if my friend invites me; otherwise, I don't usually play. Sometimes when an update drops and I want to see what it is all about (such as The Contract), I'll play through it, maybe a few times if there are bonuses but it gets boring fast.

A month!

For that I would expect five million dollars not five hundred thousand. I can make triple that on my lunch break doing Cayo Perico legit.

Even then. 5 million is pathetic compared to Cayo, you can get 1.1 to 1.5 million in 45 mins average. Let's say you're not a min-maxer (takes 1 hour to complete it) and work 40 hours a week Mon-Fri with weekends spare time with occasional things to do. For arguments sake, let's say over the weekend you have 10 hours spare time (5+5).  A good solid 10 hours across the weekend nets you 11 million at the very least. Times that by 4 or 5 weekends for the month and you have 44 to 55 million in a month versus 500k LMAO. Even if you had a single spare hour a day on the weekends gets you 8.8 to 10 million a month lol.

I would have expected 50 million for the month considering you're paying for this privilege and the fact you can get that amount via grinding. Paying "should" be more beneficial but R* are probably seeing how many idiots out there who failed at maths.

GTA Plus Enjoyer

The name "GTA+" is just so bad and unoriginal to me, it actually feels like some kind of early April Fools joke.

I remember laughing at comments by some people that "GTA 6 will be the last GTA Rockstar ever makes", but now I'm low-key concerned :jkek: (obviously it won't be THEIR last, but it could easily be OUR last)

I wouldn't pay for it here, but I do pay for optional subscriptions in another game that offers somewhat similar stuff.

By the sounds of it here it's just an optional subscription that will give you some cash and gifts every month, likely aimed at newer players, to help them along. I know Fortnite offers something similar and I strongly suspect we'll see more of these optional subscription services in future given that people, I think, are growing a bit weary of battle passes. We always see these shifts in monetisation methods every few years.

As is, it's not something I'd be particularly interested in here, or bothered about them adding. Hell, I'd prefer a subscription model at this price point over shark card gouging but that's perhaps the MMO player in me who used to stuff like that.

Now if they start offering stuff that's locked behind the subscription then that's cause for some serious alarm but as is, it's a bit.. underwhelming but at the price it is, it's better than bloody shark cards lol.

I was making a comparison for people who play GTA Online as their main game and often spend money on Shark Cards only. I bet that the majority who will enter this subscription will do it for the money. Now they get $500,000 a month + all the benefits it has. I genuinely do think it's great for the average GTA Online player

I'm more of the mind that the people who get t his are going to do it for the T-shirts, liveries, and skins.

Yes but that's not important. But even in the last Newswire that showed the weekly update, it feels geared towards next gen. Plus the HSW stuff that's only for next gen.

Can't wait for the Angry Joe rant on this thing.

Hey I love watching AJ + Jim Sterling but GTA V is 1 of the few things I put as a black mark against them.

They call out other games to high heaven for sh*t MT's yet barely ever say anything about GTA despite it being 1 of the most profitable from them, not to mention how it's killed Rockstar's interest in giving SP anything noteworthy post-release.

There's a very real chance L.A Noire from a decade ago now will be the last ever game that involves Rockstar to receive a SP expansion.

GAUNTLET HELLFIRE

I really couldn't care less about this. If people want to spend a bit of cash each month to avoid a bit of grinding I don't have a problem with that. Some people may have 4 to 5 hours a week to play online and don't want to spend that whole time doing the same heist over and over again and $6 a month is probably nothing to them. It's a good way for new players and workers to play what they want and still be able to get properties to play more content and free or cheap cars. For R* this is 100% about the money but it isn't too bad for people that don't play much and don't want to spend their entire playtime grinding.

This is also optional. You aren't being forced to buy it you can just continue the way you always do and play a bit to pay the full price for stuff GTA+ people get cheaper.

I suspect GTA+ is very much new player focused. GTAO's new player experience is shocking and they clearly put a bit of work into fixing that with E&E and this is probably part two of that.

It certainly isn't aimed at the average GTAO player on GTAF who has zero need for it.

You need to grind and grind and grind just so you can get one property, and then grind grind to buy a heli, then grind grind grind. Is it even fun???

I'm not defending the pass, I think it's a huge miss on their point.
But... most of the new businesses have been around $1.5M, so roughly one Cayo Perico run. It's really not as bad as you are portraying it.

Hey new player! If you're reading this, instead of throwing your money into this dumpster fire, take a look at this.

Only worrying thing about this is yet again there's no mention of PC. I know I know, some people are glad it's not coming to PC yada yada, but I'd sorta like the raytracing and any optimisation improvements from E&E on PC and they're still radio silent on that.
