Thanks whales and plusies for the next dlc i guess

if gta+ existed in 2013 ok fine but its 8 years old and now they released it because they want to look good on their quarterly

people tend to underestimate just how many people buy microtransactions, it's not just whales, there are hundreds of thousands of regular people, many that can't afford to, that just pay to skip a grind or even just to look cooler than the next player, everyday people already have so many subscriptions, what's another one?

The symmetry issue is on other cars too, Jester has it, Warrener HKR is REALLY bad with it.

Like, how does one screw up symmetry this bad??

@GTAJJ bro quit lying to yourself, you definitely can't earn everything in the lootboxes through gameplay, it's literally impossible, not slim, you would have to still be playing AW to earn everything through gameplay

that is called shortcuts and i come from a era where that didnt exist it was hard work and trial and error and actual unlocks and rewards.....

on ubisoft games yea i hack the files to unlock the ubisoft store content but i do paid for the dlc's eventhough its sometimes meh like the Valhalla dlc.

when cyberpunk dlc everdrops i will support the devs because they are actually fixing the game unlike r*

only sub i have irl is apple music to back up my music from 2007.

whales should be reserved for those who keep buying the big shark cards

a $6 for a subscription is more of a low-spender/dolphin territory

I was born in the 80s and played the crap out of the original Mario on the original Nintendo and memorizing dozens of moves for dozens of levels, doesn't mean I want to grind Cayo endlessly to be able to own any of the cool cars or properties or clothes I want

What, you don't sleep 29 hours a day and wake up and smoke meth at 3:37am before you cheat on your wife?

Don't diss the grindset :fartkek:

I definitely understand wanting bugs to be fixed, but literally every piece of software ever coded has bugs with the exception of "hello world", and most "final" products, especially games, still have bugs to this day, Skyrim is a prime example of this, there are day one bugs unfixed to this day even after multiple relaunches, as long as the bugs are inconsequential I don't mind if they are low on the teams priority list, that said some of the GTA bugs, while not game breaking, are mission breaking and should be of a higher priority

Well the Faction is a drug car and that bug makes it difficult to drive during the delivery mission. Ironically, they fixed a cosmetic glitch where the windows would stay up when the t-tops were removed when they made it a drug car, but didn't fix the major driveability issue. 🤦‍♂️

I do, and when I play single player games I absolutely love beating a boss or level on my own, including GTA V, but for online games the grind is usually over exaggerated and made to inflate playtime, and I'm glad for there to be a way for people that want to skip that to do so, doesn't mean I didn't feel good beating Doomsday Heist after spending money on a Shark Card to buy the facility

We're talking $6 a month for what? A 15% bonus on Shark Cards, monthly payout of in-game money that can be earned in about 20 minutes, a month long event where one single mode of the game pays extra money - which people without the subscription wouldn't be sinking much time into anyway, and early access to dripfeed or items like T-Shirt & Vehicle Liveries that have been hidden in the files for years... in a game you already have to purchase and pay your platform's subscription service to play - and somehow think that's value for money?

When investors/publishers want ALL the money people are willing to hand over, for something as over-valued as this to be released and people will happily decide to spend money on it, on top of buying Shark Cards - what do you think the industry would call these people other than "Whales"? Pay-pigs?

Yup. If I ever see that car as a drug car, I blow it up because it's not worth driving it to deliver it while dealing with that bug. Makes it difficult to run from the cops. It's a shame too as I have a really nice ultra black crew color Faction with the turbo bulge hood I got from the race car duplication years ago since the turbo hood doesn't spawn on the non lowr8dervfaction in gta online (another glitch since the turbo bulge appears on the hood as soon as you break it off the car)

I mean, for people already buying Shark Cards it would definitely be worth it, just because something doesn't have value to you doesn't mean it doesn't have value to others

just the other day i spent almost 2 hours resetting one stage in a battle event in genshin impact just so i can get a platinum medal on it. there aren't even any rewards for getting platinum. i just did it for the hell of it, because it was fun (despite all my rage) and because i like the game.

of course if i had better weapons and characters i could have a much easier time of it. and the only way to get better weapons is to spend money (or grind and hope you get lucky). the only way to get better characters is also to spend money (or grind and hope you get lucky) - however since i already have all characters i would just have to level them up. to level them up i'd need special materials found in the world and collected as rewards from bosses. and that's where you can't pay to get a shortcut. since i couldn't level up those characters i had to make do with the characters i had, which i spent a while building over the past few months to the point of being usable for difficult challenges, and it was very satisfying finally getting that medal. that's just one of many examples where i overcame a difficult challenge the game had and didn't need to pay anything to skip it.

that feeling you mention is far from gone. maybe from some 'mainstream' games, but not gaming as a whole. only thing that changed is that people are given an option to skip challenges (or, usually, make them easier) if they want to pay for it - and in that case it's their choice.

the problem with fixing the faction is that it shares its handling data with the lowrider variant, which is what the handling was made for and the flag that makes it hit all the curbs applied to it intentionally. as far as (internally) rockstar is concerned, this "works as intended". it's just unfortunate that a car that, yes, shouldn't be clipping all the curbs is doing exactly that. i'd like it to be changed too, but don't be surprised if they never end up changing it because they don't consider it a bug.

though i think r* would also be more willing to make major handling changes to cars if people didn't complain every single time they do anything that doesn't make a car go faster by 20mph or apply the oh-so-evil advanced flags

if someone buys the subscription & shark cards and it's a recurring thing, yes, they are a whale. however simply buying a monthly subscription for less than a full medium meal at mcdonalds ($7 here) does not make you a whale.

value has nothing to do with it, i know that there are players out there who'd still pay for gta+ even if it offered nothing (no, i'm not one of those) because they just want to support the game. and, as i said before, value is subjective.

Where is the "LOL HELL NO" poll option?

I actually used to advocate for a hypothetical subscription model (at a very low cost, like $3/month) for this game--IN PLACE OF the microtransaction model. I imagined a pay-as-you-go, quit-at-will scenario with regular (i.e. quarterly) updates, and an easing up of all the bullsh*t they do in-game to encourage fish card sales.

So instead... we get a double-the-cost subscription, on top of the microtransaction model (which isn't going away and hasn't been adjusted even slightly), which offers essentially no real benefits.

Die in a fire, whoever thought this up. You just put infinite stank on my possibly-good idea.

It already is and has been since the day it launched

Power comes from cash > you can purchase cash with real money > you can purchase power with real money > that is the very definition of pay to win.

This is why you don't monetise the games main form of power progression and why instead many games go with premium cosmetics.

To be honest I took the gta+. 6$ won’t change anything in my life. I wanted the devester and the unluck. I don’t need anything else since I already have it all. It’s a game that a play since day one and I stilll enjoy it with friend and I plan to keep it that way.

i respect people opinions about paying again and again and I kind of agree with it. It’s not a big amount so why not have it a shot.

ill see what comes up next month and see if I take it again or not.
