man this is as bad as it reads. I bought the game on PS3/4 and I'm playing on PS5. They've already got enough money from me I'm not giving them sh*t else but I'm afraid that these micro transactions are going to tank the franchise. It's a sad fn day and a new low for Rockstar.

Good on R* for making an extra million dollars a month. I hope gta6 is that much better. But I still find this GTA+ thing to be a joke though. 

 

I'm just salty because years ago I was one click away from buying ttwo stock when it was at 56$ a share... I knew I should have invested that $1000...

They've milked this game for nearly 10 years and consistently sh*t on the fans who just want the franchise to expand and have an actual reason to get excited instead of giving us a casino to waste in game money to encourage us to buy shart cards to get more in game money. the only efficient way i've found to make money on this game is by playing on xbox 360 in hacked game modes that give 2x money and xp but 360 doesn't get anything new so it's not even worth it. you can try to do the doomsday heists for money but if you're like me who was never able to find people to help out with it, you're screwed and have to try to grind in the businesses only to have your product taken or destroyed by other players before you can make money off the money you spent.

IDGAF, if i can continue to provide valid points as to why this franchise and developer have gone to sh*t and someone within that company sees this forum and the points brought up as to why this is bullsh*t, maybe, juuuuust maybe they can redeem themselves by seeing the error of their ways and actually listen to the playerbase that's essentially paid for their livelihoods over the past 9 years. you sitting here practically trying to justify this bullsh*t doesn't help save the franchise from greedy cash grabbing pieces of sh*t.

I would love rockstar to listen to us as much as you do, but I just don't think they care at all unless you can gather enough people to help tank their stocks. We know rockstar developers do read this forum from time to time, but it would be insanely optimistic to expect any kind of substantial change to come out of our complains on this forum alone (if all of the planets in the solar system align and something does get done, feel free to bonk me until my skull caves in). I hate to be a cliche, but the only way us individuals can really hope to make a realistic impact is to vote with our wallets and just not buy their games. Also, Rvfae wasn't justifying anything by pointing that out.

that's why I'm boycotting all Cuckshart games. I wanted to play RDD2 bc i still haven't bought it but I won't be because they've lost every last bit of my respect

Join the boycott to help prove the point that this is unacceptable. We need as many people as possible to help save the franchise. I used to love playing GTA online as a means of relaxing and having fun f*cking sh*t up but now you've gotta get 10 jobs working 80hrs a week in the GTA metaverse just to keep up without spending IRL money. They've sucked the fun out of the game for casual players by establishing a paywall for those of us who don't play all day everyday.

Y'all need to stop downplaying how important things like microtransactions and paywalls are to the playerbase of a game. the more expensive a game becomes, the less players there are. the less players there are, the sooner the game and franchise die. Like i just said, i used to love this game but now I'd have to spend just as much time in game as i would at a real job making real money just to even keep up in a game i've bought for two generations of consoles. AND THE GAME IS STILL BUGGED. all the cash grabs they've already established in the game and they still haven't fixed all the bugs.

Or you could simply rob a man known as Mr. Rubio. $1.5 million in less than hour once you've gotten the heist routine down pat. Even if you just do it "here and there" the money adds up.

Most ppl that will subscribe to GTA+, will probably only do that for 1-3 months, until they got all they need. If that is the case R* in theory even loses chances to make more money than with shark cards alone.

 

I mean the official price for a 8 million megalodon shark card is 99,99 $ or €, on G2A you can get it for consoles for like 82 $ or €, on PC for like 32 $ or €.

 

And the stuff you get by GTA+ is summarized worth around like 10 million GTA$, thanks to @WildBrick142 math.

 

But the thing is, this will only be worth it for like 1-3 months or something, because at some point you already got all vehicles, businesses etc. that you can get by GTA+, then the subscription is not worth it anymore and ppl will cancel it.

 

Lazy ppl that would have bought shark cards anyway, save a lot of money by GTA+, but only temporary. But this also means once they got all they need, they most probably also don't buy shark cards anymore.

 

So R* is shooting in their own leg in a way. Less ppl will buy the totally overpriced shark cards because of GTA+. Instead of maybe paying 100 to 300 $ or € to get all businesses ppl will only have to pay like 6 to 18.

 

This means they really get less money from the game over time. This actually helps the typical lazy shark card buying ppl.

 

tl:dr R* will earn less money because of GTA+.

i honestly don't even know what heist that is bc i never even got past the doomsday heist bc i never was able to find anyone to help out with it without consistently having my setups ruined by others in the lobby that do nothing other than play GTA for 40-80hrs a week while spawn grieving me for just trying to play the game for what it is. I'm nowhere near good at the game anymore and i'll be the first to say it but when it comes to constantly getting rawdogged by other players and then the developers themselves, I'd rather take my time and money elsewhere.
