Rockstar Editor: Can't export video in decent quality

I did some testing with the "new" next-gen Rockstar Editor on PS5, did a very short clip (10–15 seconds) and tried to export it.

The exported video looked absolutely hideous – resolution was at what looked like 720p, it ran at about 15 fps and overall looked very jaggy. Also it had two black bars at the sides, doesn't Rockstar Editor export in 16:9 ratio?

 

How can I fix this? Is there some option/setting I'm not seeing or does it always look this bad? I used to make PS4 videos with the editor and, while the resolution was understandably low, it looked miles better than right now on the PS5 ...

(I watched the clip in the Rockstar Editor video gallery, I didn't upload it to anywhere)
