TXD workshop won't let me import alpha image... how do i do this correctly?

I'm trying to make the texture for a custom ped i created have transparency but TXD workshop will not let me import a seperate alpha image... how do i do that?

here's a video of what im trying to do, am i doing this incorrectly? please help

You don't use TXD Workshop, use Magic.TXD instead which supports modern image formats and then edit that image as a PNG instead with whatever image editing software you have.

i already tried Magic.TXD instead. it gave me an error when i tried opening the TXD file

UPDATE: wait a sec, i got it to work. i just needed to edit the original txd file. my bad. thank you.

Your PNG Texture doesn't have Alpha
TXD Workshop work fine just edit Image Unit with PS or PDN to Alpha your pixels  
set mipmap to 1
don't compress

png can have a level mask that works as alpha channel

 

 

@joewinko: your video shows that the png file which you import, has a complete white "alpha"

that means that everything will be shown, a white square with image will be shown

its ok i got magic TXD to work   all taken care of
