Character transfer/starting over PS5

Hey everyone, just curious as to why my money is transferring to a new level 1 character in gta online when I select not to have it take the level of the character in a slot. I used the 4million you get for the career builder and it still gave me my money from my previous character. Any ideas? Am I doing something wrong? I’m trying to start fresh completely fresh and I can’t seem to do that. Help would be much appreciated.

Lucky you, I can’t even migrate over. Rockstar support aren’t helpful and just say “migration eligibility decision” is final and is done by an automatic system. 
 

And all online trophies done on PS4 haven’t popped on ps5.

That sucks. I had to listen to five minutes of trophy notifications when I migrated.

Probably one of the better parts of a re-release, my trophy count has now gone up!
