Well, these were quite easy. Nice 2m from them though so no complaints. Livery unlocked as soon as I'd completed this last one. Hopefully we get more with each DLC, and in future they let us re-run them for peanuts to better our times like the older time trials.

I expect we'll never get more, but it will still be $250k per run next week.

Having watched @oleg_aka_djmeg bounce off walls and whatnot I'm keen to retry them.

Cool to see them stay, along with the regular time trial and the bandito one, it's a good start to a Thursday and keeps the cash ticking over so I can just goof about or join stuff like heists and simply enjoy rather than want the cash for something new or to build up before a DLC. Easy half mil a week basically for little effort. :)

I did down chiliad ONCE

(might do it again with a HSW drag)

WAS NOT FUN.

Up chiliad tho, HSW drag would make it a breeze.

I think I missed my chance back when you could still place a job corona up there and use that to respawn, or something.

Yeah, lol. Still not done that one and didn't have the Vigilante when those vehicles could be used. The crashes with this new Hakachou would be huge I reckon. Don't mind dying, but not that many times. 🤣

The HSW drag is stiffer and has a wider turning radius....

Well, this was a pain to get right. The hardest out of all the HSW trials, with this vehicle.

North Chumash

Still missing the first one with this vehicle, but I at least can say I completed them all. Fun challenge.

@Killer Whale @fryday This was the hardest one to complete. Saw that you took a different route, going north where I went south! Mighty fine driving tho!

I was trying to figure out if going north was possible with this car, as going through Zancudo and Sandy Shores was a no-go. This one didn't give enough margin for error, so getting out of the dirt to the highway had to be in a certain time span, and I couldn't crash at all even if it meant slowing down a bit. It was all fairly tight.

Very bad run with one crash. This is the most fun hsw trial imo.

Saw that in your video, thought the tunnel was going to a tight fit when got there! I was thinking of Zancudo too due to I have my hangar there.... Yeah thi trial was not forgiving when driving a car. Saw @Snak3D0ct0r had plenty of time left when he did it.

I failed multiple Times during the southern Route, then I Tried the north Route and finished IT First try. Much easier, because 90% highway

Managed to do this one on my first attempt with the S95 and unlocked the HSW Elite livery. I probably took the longer route, but whatever. It was extremely close at the end. Got pretty lucky.

I just followed the highway south, through the city, and out again to NOOSE. First time success and also at least 90% highway? Albeit city highway.

Yeah, this is how I went, too. North was the shorter way in terms of miles, but I didn't like the curvy, windy roads. Very little margin of error. I beat this one with plenty of time to spare, as usual with these, and I thought the value of staying on a wide open freeway, with the Drag that can ride on the shoulder and between cars, was waaaaaaay better than the shorter route going north through Blaine County. I finished with plenty of time to spare, too.

Should the bike have a separate par time? Even I tries to drive on the should with a car when doing time trials. What is irritating is that left lane on the high is designed for higher speed but yet the AI/npc that using that lane don´t move to the right when we comes blasting on the free way!

@Gridl0k Why didn´t I think of that! 🤔

I don't use a car for any of these time trials. There just isn't enough margin of error for it to be any fun for me. Yeah, I can pound a round peg into a square hole by forcing myself to beat it with a car, but there's just too much traffic to do it in a way that I enjoy playing the trial. I have done the whole restart, restart, restart thing, replete with massive frustration at the roads being essentially a wall-of-traffic in some spots, but the Drag makes it so much better. One and done. In fact, what is fun using the Drag is to stop a few hundred yards from the finish, knowing I have a winning time already, and just restart without crossing the finish line, to try and get a better time. But replaying it for a better time, for me at least, is a helluva lot more fun than having to restart over and over again having to get a near perfect run with a car just to beat the posted time.

To answer your first question, the only thing I think they should do is to add a little time to the time trial if you use a car, NOT cheap out on the time if you use a bike. I think that if all these HSW time trials stayed exactly the same as they are for any bike, but added, say 20 seconds if you use a car, they would be a lot more fun and enjoyable to experiment with using a myriad of vehicles. Oh, and make them replayable, for the love of God! They can nerf the payout a lot once you beat it the first time that week, of course, but you should be able to replay these without stopping and restarting the trial.

The most fun I had beating a time trial was when I used the APC to beat Califia Way TT. Maybe I buy the Zhaba to do it.... It is so true that using odd vehicles... @Killer Whale used the Arbiter do beat them all so that was fun to watch cause knowing a tiny mishap makes you spin or loss valuable top speed!

For every time trial vids I post there is about 5 to 10 failed tries. First tries is just trying the route and maybe change it to a different route. Then there is trying to do it as clean as possible.

I agree, they are fun to watch, but wouldn't be fun for me at least to actually do. I'm glad that I get to watch a guy beat a time trial like this with what is essentially a boat of a big, bulky 1970's muscle car that steers like a truck. But just like I enjoy playing with other people's little kids during a visit, invariably, when I leave, I find myself so glad they aren't mine. I don't have the patience to have to endure 5 or 10 tries, unless it's because I personally want a better time than I am getting, not because it takes 10 times just to win the thing. This is especially true when one realizes that the traffic behaves so often unpredictably, and creates situations where very often passing or failing isn't even down to the skill of the player, so much as if the gods of GTA Traffic deign to allow you enough room to make the moves you need to in order to pass. Again, though, that's just me. I understand a lot of people thrive on extreme difficulty in games.

I personally suck with deciding what's the best, shortest route to take, so I usually go wherever the GPS takes me unless it's taking me to a very obvious longer route.
