The Matrix Resurrections (2021) - IMDb Is finally available for rent at $6.99 CAD plus taxes and had been pushed to sell for 3 month's at $24.99 and I wont buy it, only own one digital movie and that is Joker with  Joaquin Phoenix

I'm having a bad day and overdose of  the Ukraine war and I'm deeply saddened by what's happened there and need a break and to cheer up from what they've shown there on youtube

"You don't understand! I could've had class. I could've been a contender. I could've been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am."

Pointless nothing of a movie, if I'm honest. I know it had *something* to say, though I'm not entirely sure what it was.

Nothing can top the original Matrix, though even Reloaded and Revolutions have their moments.

That kind of sums up all of them, for me. I re-watched them all just before the fourth one came out and the dialogue was so often just this pretentious pseudointellectual/spiritual/metaphysical nonsense. It was meant to sound profound but usually just came off as empty at the best of times and really silly at the worst. I remember it really worked on me when it first came out but it just doesn't hold up anymore and the first film might actually be the worst offender.

I think the first movie is the epitome of a film being put on a pedestal it doesn't really deserve to be on and the sequels have thus been unfairly compared to a standard that doesn't really exist.

Also.

Resurrections was alright as there isn't anything else to watch Matrix-wise, but it did not add anything. Definitely something I will bother watching again.

I didn't like Resurrections at all. I was disappointed too because when I saw the trailer, and the scene where the original Matrix movie was playing on a screen within the movie, I thought we were in for some mind-bending, multi-layered meta shenanigans with another bout of pseudo-philosophy and more head-scratchiness than Inception. Sadly, it was a pretty shallow retread with a lazy story and script.

I downloaded the movie from some source 4K dolby vision, dolby true hd etc. 70 gb large, i still haven't watched the movie lol.

Maybe i do that in the next few days. I only skipped through some scenes to check the quality, yeah i guess the blu-ray is worth it, while streaming a movie there are always some tiny artifacts, that doesn't happen with the blu-ray.

While skipping through some scenes, i saw Neil Patrick Harris has a role in it lol. I had no idea, i didn't check the cast, or plot or anything yet.
