Is it true you can now buy other people's cars inside meet on xbox s/x and ps5?

Was watching one of our least favorite GTA youtubers (ironically he took a thread i made on here the other day and made a video about it without even mentioning me, but I digress)

 

Anyway, he mentioned that if you're in the car meet, you can walk up to any player's car and "purchase" it. IE the game sells you a duplicate version of the car with all the mods, colors etc.

 

First of all, is this true and second of all, has anyone tried it with an unobtainable car?

 

By that I mean something that normally can't be obtained legitimately in game or has certain features on it only available through glitching or save edits. An example of this would be my clean rebel marty mcfly version with the roof lights and baja bumper. They do not spawn this way and you can not just add the features at LSC. You normally get one or the other, not both. This was created on the 360 via a save editor years ago.

in the GTA Series Video steam, I caught Hao sending a message to the player about it. Looks like if they test drive it or come up and purchase it, they get an exact replica and you get some compensation

Interesting. Too bad I don't see myself converting to next gen any time soon if ever. I find it hilarious that the Faction's hit box is supposedly still unfixed and it will still do a full on stoppie trying to go over a 2 inch curb.

Especially because this can drive shark card sales 

The whole reason i ended up transferring is because of this feature im excited to see the ecosystem get going and see what custom modded cars there are out there that I can add to my collection

Also i wonder if the Lost Slamvan works? im guessing not because it doesnt have a place to buy it in which case maybe it doesnt work with any non website cars. I have so many questions and nobody to test with on xbox yet/if ever lol. friends gave up on gta years ago or moved to pc

Interesting. I know of a few cars that still can't be purchased from the in game websites such as the Imponte Phoenix.

This is one of the best parts of the update for a car guy, being able to (hopefully) obtain cars with rarer mods such as hidden liveries

Its a PV you can customize and you can drive it into the meet.

I believe it's because the lost slamvan can't be purchased from the in game website. Someone should try with an Imponte phoenix. It can't be purchased but can be acquired legitimately by stealing it off the street, unlike the slamvan which can only be obtained legitimately by winning it off the wheel (next to impossible odds)

Eles estão falando sobre os carros de outros jogadores que você vê no encontro de carros de LS, não os carros de clientes da oficina de tunagem.

 

They're talking about the cars of other players you can see at the LS Car meet, not the client cars from the autoshop.

Vehicle extras (commonly referred to as "bodystyles") do not transfer 1:1 with this feature. Tested tonight with a cageless mw mesa, sadler with multiple extras and the "McFly" rebel. Extras are randomized seemingly the same way they are for street spawns so I would assume any configuration of extras that isn't normally obtainable will stay unobtainable with HSW Specification in LSCM. It seems the only things that stick are things that can be "applied" (paint, wheels, plate, tint) So not as powerful as we thought but still adequate for most cars.
