Someone was writing in free chat as me

It took me a second to realize but my name kept popping up while in my heli looking for 50 jammers. It was something I have never seen or experienced before and it weirded me out big time. Has anyone else ever seen o heard of this. Someone else writing under your username acting like you.  It felt vaguely familiar as if I definitely know he person I can tell they know me.  Is this the extend of how far this game goes. If so i feel very uncomfortable knowing that people know me and are inside my computers as hackers. Any solutions???

Welcome to GTA Online PC, where hackers script kiddies with mod menus can make it appear as if you are killing players or spamming in the chat.

Don't worry about your computer, it's probably fine.

Happened to me quite a few times-probably because I cuss out the modders when I see them in freeroam (I don't freeroam much).

The  immature words and general incoherence they are writing using your name shows they are probably annoying 14 yr olds with Mommies credit card using a Mod.

They cannot hurt you. 

 

That being said-ALWAYS use a VPN so they don't get your real IP address.
