AW08 Posted March 8 Share Posted March 8 Not sure if anyone picked up on this, but Michael Pachter (he's some financial analyst with a long tracking record and reputable career; he's been making game industry videos as part of GT and now SIFTD.net for decades) shared some info on the next GTA, info he says he has from a highly reliable source. Now I've heard ''insider'' and ''reliable source'' when it comes to the next GTA so many times I want to puke, but this is the first time someone actually puts their reputation at stake to deliver this info and break news, so to me this is the most palpable piece of news we've got so far. This also goes in line with something that was posted on Reddit some days ago (no longer have the link) that was pretty much in line with this. So basically Michael Pachter kinda confirms that post. Anyways, here's the video: I'm thinking the reason he afford to talk about it publicly like this is because we're going to see a trailer next year? Usually you keep these things under wraps so other people don't attempt to do the same thing, but apparently they've been working on this for almost 10 years now and no one would be able to catch up to them if they were to learn now what they were working on. I assumed that because there's no traction online on this news, people just didn't know of it. Guess the reason it didn't catch any traction is because of MP's track record with GTA info in general. I personally don't believe he's lying. He might just get a ton of outdated info that by the time a game releases it's irrelevant. We'll see. Lemoyne outlaw Posted March 8 Share Posted March 8 i don't know this guy. but apparently he has gotten stuff like this wrong in the past. so im not getting hyped yet. i have no doubt that gta 6 will be a huge game and probably their biggest game yet. but i have doubts that it will have all three gta cities and europe. i don't know if the consoles could handle it or not. but even if they could. it would probably be like a just cause map. super huge but not much detail or interiors. i would much rather have a gta 5 or rdr2 sized map. and have lots of interiors and details. i like the idea of vice city and the caribbean or south america. that seems more likely. Jason Posted March 12 Share Posted March 12 IIRC his actual career has little to nothing to do with video games, I think he was brought on as an expert on whatever show it was yonks ago and he was probably the only one who knew what a video game was. He's still off his rocker though, he predicted Sony would be dead in 10 years as they can't compete with MS cash. If there is any truth to what he's saying it'll more like R*'s plan is to add all those locations over time for GTAO2. One of the things they talked about doing early on in GTAO and they only really finally done with the... island whose name I forget, was to add new locations to GTA.
