guerilla_man
Okay for starters the bugs and glitches are annoying. I could not loot a house without basically teleporting without my horse to the other side of the map. Certain birds like wood peckers are not appearing around the map which I tried 4 game days in a row busting my nuts trying so hard to find that perfect wood pecker pelt when I can not even get one wood pecker to fly above my head panther pelts are difficult to get perfect the most even with respawning with the buck trinket to get higher chances of obtaining a perfect pelt with every respawn pelt was never perfect. I think the 3 star pelt system was a silly idea made by rockstar when you can simply hunt any animal for its skins and get that pelt. I am not saying RDR 2 is a bad game full of bugs. I am saying I need a break from this game and chill out my frustrations a bit.
subvod
1. What house?  2. Woodpeckers, among all the other small birds, are everywhere. They're just hard to see. If you have a pair of earbuds or headphones, use them. They don't sound like any other bird, just like in real life. You'll know a blue jay from a woodpecker. It is a pain in the ass, yes. But they're everywhere. I can mark a few locations right off the top of my head: the bridge east of the Trapper in Roanoke Ridge, atop rocks all along the southern stretch (south of Cumberland Falls) of the Dakota River, the northern bends of the Kamassa River (west of Deer Cottage), and even out in New Austin (they have to be stirred up, otherwise you're chancing on what the game decides to spawn).  3. There's a sh*tton of scoreless bird spawns everywhere. The bridge mentioned above is one of those many places. Atop rocks in both major rivers are also good spots.  4. Panthers, lol. Have you gone out moose hunting, yet?  5. Scoring system is there for a reason: to keep us all playing for as long as possible. If you're on PC, trainers exist including those with functions for always perfect pelts. Myself having done three 100% runs on RDR2, I've no issue using it. But when sitting at 100% and just free roaming, I turn it off because hunting is about all there is to do at that point.  Here's a reference I've made for myself, everything from woodpeckers to cougars to meese and back: https://github.com/subvod/rdr2-maps  Edit, literally five minutes in:   And 15 minutes later on the Dakota, a scoreless red belly:   If you find a few spots and there's just songbirds or sparrows, shoot around and scare them off. This works like spawning cars in GTA V. Run a ways away then back. When you come back, it'll be different (random) birds. guerilla_man
Wood peckers very easy to catch. Just canât obtain that perfect carcass. Yet⊠I usually use a game arrow shoot high to get a hit in mid air. Or another option use a varmint rifle. Or use eagle eye to spot them as there are 2 kinds of wood peckers. Not sure if the other wood pecker is called a âbirdâ or âwood peckerâ identification would be helpful. On 3/6/2022 at 10:26 PM, subvod said: 1. What house?  2. The area you suggested is a good area. Panther hunting is difficult because they come out of no where and kill in one pounce. I use a horse back with rifle out as I never hunt panthers on foot because they pounce out of no where. As for wood peckers game arrows as I said high aiming your bow will achieve a good high shot. The house is located near rhodes. By the creek beds. In the cane feilds. I been there so many times and never experienced a random bug teleportation like this. guerilla_man
I got the panther pelt thank God. I am almost finished the 2nd chapter. Moose hunting I actually like it. Panther No I hate hunting panthers with a passion. I love collectibles and exploring. Hunting panthers is frustrating. Hunting moose is harmless and easy.I finished finding the wood pecker perfect carcass.
