The variety in traffic is definitely a good detail, and the water reflection sounds promising. I’m excited to see what it’ll look like.

 

Nothing about Rockstar Editor and Director Mode …

What's so Expanded and Enhanced about this? The only thing that was expanded is Strauss' bank account number, with all these predatory schemes that aim to milk money to the last drop.

 

And what's up with all these pictures having filters on them? It's as if they don't have any significant improvements at all. Hope this flops hard and all journalists call out on this BS.

 

If this does happen, it probably won't do squat, sadly. The DE was thrashed by critics and fans alike, and it still wound up selling 10+ million copies (just more proof of how big the "R* can do no wrong" crowd and mentality are, if you ask me). If a broken collection of already broken mobile ports was a financial success for R*/T2, I imagine a "new" version of their primary cash cow will do just as well, if not better, especially if it ends up launching in a fairly bug-free state (at least compared to the former). The current versions of V continue to top sales charts month after month as it is.

Took a read again. Apparently it only affects transfers between different consoles from different brands, and it's something Fortnite has too. Thanks Sony, I updated my post.

Yeah, it's only from brand to brand. Microtransactions usually don't transfer between brands, just from PS to PS and Xbox to Xbox, it's as it says right there on the Newswire. :p They made a clarifying tweet too. If you buy shark cards on Xbox One, you can transfer to Xbox Series but not to PS5.

This is one of the things I've immediately seen some get mad about. Criticize all you want, but criticize for fair reasons. This isn't one of them.

Yeah PC version doesn't get mentioned of course not, i just had to laugh reading the article. PC graphics and a little Raytracing for consoles hmm yeah good for them, sure 60 FPS in 2160p is nice, but with just upscaled Res, pretty meh IMO.

 

Well gonna see on 8th if the preload begins, if there is anything for us PC players i guess. I hope we at least get the new dlc with Hao's cars and speed upgrade on PC, and the Chameleon paint jobs and more traffic variety etc. like console players.

 

Im dissapointed. no DX12 or Vulkan, and it seems no Raytracing for PC, pff screw you R*.

People can't read nowadays I swear lol, it's like when your middle school teacher asks you to read, and re-read, and re-read again questions on a test before trying to answer them. Too used to the quick social media info drops. :p

The thing is ray tracing means a graphics API change which could benefit PC a ton as well where the game is limited by the graphics API still being on DX11, which is notoriously bad on the CPU side. Wish PC had access to these updates too at least. Maybe later.

Haven't caught up on all the pages yet but I think the confusion stems from Rockstar's preference to use longform text on the Newswire still. They tweet and people start rushing and panicking to digest the info as quick as possible, so everyone basically missed that GTA$ was listed in the previous paragraph. At least they made a follow-up tweet about it lol.

 

Kind of weird there is still no pricing info. Guess we'll find out on Tuesday.

Grass on consoles was a mix between High and Very High, this looks to be Very High.

Unless they magically optimized it to not murder the FPS.

Ever since I have seen the RT part of the new features I ruled out the reflections because that would just fry the consoles, I suppose the RT is done for Shadows or Audio.
