DrunkardCow
Okay, here is the dealio: - benchmark reports 60fps. - in game within minute or two the game starts to become insanely choppy; it goes away when I disable vsync and then re-enable it; for awhile the game performs well and then the choppiness returns. I have tried downgrading, dxvk (better frames with this one; but the game still descent into choppiness), and fiddling with AMD Radeon Software settings... I have ran out of ideas; any ideas or solutions much appreciated. Solution ant_sh Posted March 4 Solution Share Posted March 4 (edited) - Update BIOS for your motherboard if a newer version is available - Use AMD cleanup utility and reinstall GPU driver - Install native driver for your monitor https://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/support-product/6010 in - Use DXVK and run the game in VSR mode at 4K resolution, do not use ingame Vsync. Go to Radeon Software and in Gaming section for GTA IV enable Radeon Enhanced Sync instead. Experiment with AMD Freesync setting. - If all else fails downgrade to 1.0.4.0 or 1.0.7.0 Edited March 4 by ant_sh

So, thank you very much! I didn't even know VSR existed. ant_sh
